No, it doesn't cause a problem. The e-mail address is needed because if someone is sending the gift via the Steam, "Manage Gifts and Guest Passes," tool they need the person's e-mail address, and the same goes if they are giving away a Key and need to send it to the winner.

Hey, firstly, great site, seems fun.
But, I signed with an e-mail address which is different to my steam e-mail address. Will that effect anything? I can't see how it could but I wanted to make sure.
