I really want Mafia II, but I got Civ 5. Since the offer is now closed I guess i'll just try to win it on Steamgifts.

That's the point...even if you win the key on steamgifts there's no guarantee that the key will work... I did a giveaway on reddit giving away a key of mafia II, But when i gave it to winner he was not able to redeem it. He said that the key is already used! He was generous enough to forgive me for that, but even if you win the key GMG sent, it might have already been redeemed somewhere else :( so, good luck to you!

He showed me a snapshot of failed key activation.He also gave me his steam account (I made that rule myself), on which he did not have Mafia II. So i think he was legit. But i'll never know, there are just too many ways to cheat :(

Yeah, too bad they ran out of keys, would have liked to grab me a Mafia II key, Civ V not really my thing anyway.

But one something like this goes viral (and it usually does on the biger sites) it usually does not take long before it gets shut down because of people that it might not be intended to come there (you see this with a lot of magazines that give some key online for example).

Not that I am saying that I never signed up to something just for the freebee, but yeah, I guess it's somewhat lame when you are being a 'legitimate' user.

im disgusted to read how many ppl in here are admitting to making multiple accounts and getting multiple copies of the games v__v.... seriously? i took one, and i was happy to get that one and not care about scamming for more.... how do people not have a guilty conscience over doing what they did....

Picked only 1 too, and kept it for myself. I had received a Mafia 2 not long ago through Gamefly's similar promotion, so I ended up getting both Mafia and Civ 5­. I'm kinda glad, but there has been so much abuse...

No, I decided to be a good girl too and got only one key. I got Mafia 2 since I already had Civ 5. I did however consider making a second account to get Civ 5 too so I could give it to a friend so we could play together, but decided against it because I remembered I don't have any friends.

I registered (a second account 'cos GMG was flaking out) then reg'ed on CVG and voted, got the confirmation email about voting about 15 hours ago now, but GMG still says I haven't voted. Ah welp, easy come, easy go. :/

I voted some days ago and also didn't get anything - but the reason for me is that they still tell me "oh it looks like you haven't voted yet".
I don't care if I don't get a game because they ran out of keys, since this is a legit reason and still a nice promotion, but what I really dislike is when sites try to put the blame on me - that's not a nice thing to do >:(
