There are some weird aspects here.

Seems that it's an actual game called "Measurement Problem". But the Store Page's title is PUBG's title.

This looks more like an issue on Steam's side. But could also be a developer changing something to basically emulate PUBG after the game wasn't successful.
Considering no reviews seem to point out the titling issue, I doubt this has been like that since release.

EDIT: Seems that there's proof now that it was done by the developer, so I'm now confident in saying that it's not a Steam issue, but a developer issue.

Seems more like a shitty move from dev.

Odds are on your side, but I personally don't have the balls to accuse a person of fraud without actual proof.

I believe they did it to confuse people in the steam sale and cash in a little bit of money before steam remove them, Since steam's response is 2-3 months usually, they gonna get rich before anything happens. They will be like 2-3 euro cheaper than OG PUBG so people buy it
Edit: Looks like I was mistaken, it only took steam like 2 hours to take it down.

I guess it's not going to work: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/finance/payments_salesreporting#2 Valve sends money your game earned up to 30th day of NEXT month, so it can take them 1-2 months according to rules before they send money, they will easilly notice scam and ban dev b4 dev manages to cash out any money ;p

You can see a google cache from last week with the real game if you search google for:
cache:https://store.steampowered.com/app/534960/
Edit: The Google cache page no longer works.

Or the most recent from archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20190404022727/https://store.steampowered.com/app/534960/Measurement_Problem/

We should be able to see the history of all the changes made to the page on steamdb, but I can't get their site to load right now. I remember another game in the past where the dev and publisher got into an argument and one of them kept changing things on the Steam game page to crazy stuff.

Edit: steamdb is up and you can see the changes. I would be careful about downloading the game because it looks like it went from 3.92 GB up to 13.23 GB today. Who knows what they changed.

If you have this game, may it be better to uninstall this game temporarily?
Anyway, I feel "bad premonition".( ;・`Θ・´)

The game is still listed as PUBG in the Steam client (I own Measurement Problem) and you can still get to the community page here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/534960/

That was fast on Valve's part... If Valve is the one who did it and not the dev, hiding because they were caught?

I'm not sure what they changed, but steamdb says that the game was 3.92 GB and was updated today to 13.23 GB. PUBG is almost 24 GB, so I don't think it is that. I own it, but don't want to risk downloading it.

Dev answered something in russian here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/534960/discussions/0/1643166649103227847/ can anyone translate?

All I got from Google translate is that the dev seems to be insulting "GameOver", who's from Turkey, with some racial slur against Turkish people, because they reported them

There's no insulting in there, he's just unhappy about the situation and says something like "stop whining already, I'm just trying to earn some money".

He's obviously a CIS schoolboy. One of many who spammed Steam with fake games.

"Earn" money? More like scam money, there's a difference. This is an example of why trust in devs aren't great.

I doubt that is the real dev responding. The dev probably had their account hijacked and the hijacker is the one responding.
