Control laptop and desktop with a single keyboard and mouse

I have my laptop next to my computer and i use it for some task but having to change my position to do just a click is tedious. And the cheapest KVM switch I found is 40 Euros which is bit steep for me right now. Do you know any program that could help me?

works, but the anonymous reports to Microsoft make me iffy and i want a more KVM switch feel
