Russia says it will open evacuation corridors from Ukraine to Russia daily from 10 a.m. local time
From CNN staff
Moscow will unilaterally open evacuation routes for civilians in Ukraine that lead towards Russia at 10 a.m. local time daily (2 a.m. ET), said Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev of the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday.
"We guarantee full security in the territories controlled by the Russian Armed Forces,” Mizintsev said.
It is unclear if there is an end time to these open routes.
He denied reports about Russia not observing promised ceasefire, calling the allegations a “vile lie."

Russian Department of defense (I'm not even going to talk about the irony of this title) has officially admitted that there are conscripts participating in the "special operation". These are 18-19-year-old boys. Just 4 days ago Putin declared that this was not happening and would not happen.

Update 16 – IAEA Director General Statement on Situation in Ukraine | IAEA
https://www.iaea.org/newscenter/pressreleases/update-16-iaea-director-general-statement-on-situation-in-ukraine

Excerpt

In another development, he said the IAEA in recent days had lost remote data transmission from its safeguards systems installed to monitor nuclear material at the Chornobyl NPP and another Ukrainian nuclear power plant now controlled by Russian forces, the Zaporizhzhya NPP. He said he was concerned about the sudden interruption of such data flows to the IAEA’s Vienna headquarters from the two sites, where large amounts of nuclear material are present in the form of spent or fresh nuclear fuel and other types of nuclear material.

Excerpt

Upon closer reading, it appears that data transmission has stopped at two nuclear power plants.

Ukraine informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it had lost today all communications with the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), the day after the Russian-controlled site lost all external power supplies, Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said.

The Director General said that the Agency is aware of reports that power has now been restored to the site and is looking for confirmation.

Earlier in the day, the Ukraine regulatory authority had told the IAEA that emergency diesel generators were providing electricity to the Chornobyl NPP. The subsequent loss of communication meant that the regulator could no longer provide updated information about the site to the IAEA.

Today is the 11th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
It reminds us of terrible things like Fukushima, but Chernobyl is a nuclear power plant that was originally shut down.
There will be no immediate impact.

Q09066930. you insult me in my native language, ask me to "Eat shit" and call me a Nazi, while in English you are white and fluffy. I have every right to answer you in my native language. your post, like many similar ones, aims to promote propaganda. which doesn't belong here. if you want to help Ukraine so much, prove it by deed, but not by word. your words do not solve anything and do not touch those against whom they are directed. I read hundreds of posts and comments calling for killing Russians, but these are just words. unfortunately, sometimes they get to the point a little bit. An 11-year-old girl from Russia who studied at a French school was beaten by classmates just because she is Russian. and no one did anything, I'm sure no one even said anything about it. if someone here says that it serves her right, then you are no worse than the Germans, who once staged a genocide against Jews. I didn't want to insult anyone, I'm just giving a historical background. from this post, I will no longer participate in the discussion, it is useless. good luck to everyone

I was following the general flow of the story.

It's true in itself that some Ukrainians were part of the Nazi SS for Ukraine's independence and are still considered heroes in some areas.
The history of the time is only that there were times when the country leaned toward Germany and times when it leaned toward the Soviet Union.
If we talk about good and bad with today's values, it becomes a slander match and an unfortunate event.
Nor is it being claimed that the story of "some people" is the story of the whole people.
It is just that there were some people who chose to resort to such means.

It is also true that the region is a buffer zone between democracy and communism, and that it used to be the breadbasket of the Soviet Union and its military industry.

At least, after the end of the Soviet Union, it was denuclearized and steered in the direction of peace.

It is probably 80% irrelevant to people in the modern world.

It is also true that there remained Russian-speaking regions where the people there, with support from Russia, inherited the Nazi-era ways, taught the use of guns in school education, and discriminated not only against Ukrainians but also against people from other countries. In particular, Ukrainian embassies in other countries in Ukraine have issued a text warning that such caution is unfortunately necessary in the eastern part of Ukraine.
📝
Come to think of it, around the same time Russia started teaching kindergarteners how to use guns, that was in 2015.

It makes no sense for both sides to point out each other's dislike of things that other people are concerned about.
In most cases, it is because it is "in the past.
And "what is needed now" is irrelevant because donations, support, relief, and evacuation information for "bombs" and "tragedies" are important and irrelevant.
Please, let's get that right when we return to a time of peace. Once history is burned away, that will no longer be possible.

If we deal with the topic of "historical awareness" here, it will only bury important information and make people uncomfortable from other parts of the world.

This is the second time I have shared this concern with you.

Ricco95

Please, please be a gentleman.

This would not have happened if he had not replied to you with the single word "all nonsense"(Жри говно.).
Each country's education and the history that each country claims to other countries can be different.
I feel that you would not have responded if he had not called you "nonsense".

Both sides claim to be saying the right thing in some respects.

However, nothing good can come of it for those who are now being victimized.

In my opinion, there must be some place on earth where the word "Nazi" is used as "everyday language to lightly abuse others".
However, people do not like to be labeled "Nazis".

Why don't you both quit this conversation at this point?

Perhaps we can discuss this with history books on both sides.

If it helps the "victims" and "victimizers", then please continue.

I will not participate.

It is at times like this that a momentary break is important. Please take a good rest.

Maybe you should reorganize the information and recreate one agenda item regarding "sources", "donation windows", and "tools" that have been meaningful to "war victims" so far in this conversation.
Then we might as well close this discussion and see what happens.

Those who see the timeline issue now know and understand it, but those who come later may not understand it and may be annoyed like BOTs many times.
That is something no one wants.

Update 18 – IAEA Director General Statement on Situation in Ukraine | IAEA
https://www.iaea.org/newscenter/pressreleases/update-18-iaea-director-general-statement-on-situation-in-ukraine

Ukraine has told the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that technicians have started repairing damaged power lines in an attempt to restore external electricity supplies to the site of the Russian-controlled Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) that were entirely cut earlier in the week, Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said today.

Excerpt

At the same NPP, work is ongoing to detect and dispose of unexploded munitions found in its damaged training centre and other places after the events there on 4 March, when Russian forces took control of Ukraine’s largest nuclear power plant with six reactors, the regulator said.

Excerpt

Regarding the partial loss of remote data transmission from safeguards systems installed to monitor nuclear material and activities at nuclear power plants, reported in Update 16, the IAEA said it was now back online from the Zaporizhzhya NPP but still down from the Chernobyl NPP, while there were intermittent problems with data transfer from the South Ukraine NPP.

WHO officials warn "certainly there'll be a rise in Covid-19" cases tied to Russia's invasion of Ukraine
As Russia continues attacks in Ukraine, global health leaders warn that "certainly there'll be a rise in Covid-19."
Some activists in the region already have seen a spread of the disease.

Excerpt

"Certainly, there’ll be a rise in Covid-19 within the population within Ukraine, without a doubt, because — not testing, without access to treatment, with vaccinations stopped and there's already low vaccination. I think about 34% or 35% vaccination rate before the conflict," Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of WHO's health emergencies program, said in Wednesday's briefing.

Actually, Putin is targeting the US funded bio weapons labs in Ukraine. Putin just brought the evidence before the UN Security Council and the US has admitted we have bio labs but there's nothing harmful there ( well if that's true why the hell do we have to have them in foreign countries then?).

China will soon be invading Taiwan to also go after the US funded bio-weapons labs there and when they bring their evidence forward we will have global military trials just like the Nuremberg trials because this is crimes against humanity.

I don't think that bio-weapon lab would look any different from vaccine research and virus study labs. Think about all that conspiracy theories about china laboratories in Wuhan causing corona, though it is completely obvious why it would be beneficial to have labs studying specific viruses next to the area where these viruses are common.
