Any board with AMD chipset will be ok; i'd suggest something with 890fx or 970fx. I have an Asrock 970 Extreme3 and i'm extremely satisfied.

They should easily last over a year. Unless it's user error that killed the board (short-circuited, overclocked too high etc) I'd look into the Warranty as they will just usually send a refurb of the same/similar model back at only the cost of S&H.

The Asus M5A99X_EVO_R20 is quite good...It has an AMD 990X chipset, and it's $135 on NewEgg... =)
I was planning to get that one, but I got some more money so I ended up buying an Asus Sabertooth 990FX instead =D
Edit: Also, thanks for the giveaway! =D got distracted by shiny motherboards and forgot to thank you

My old board: MSI NF750-G55 AM3 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
I'm not trying to buy this now because by the time it gets to me I'll be up at school but if you can find a good deal on something that is worth buying now lemmie know.
I will spend $150 if I have to, I would like to spend $100 on a board. If my numbers are off let me know, I'm just guessing based off the last board that I bought when it was on sale.
The board that I did have was $77.99 and was only used for ~6 months I don't know much about the life-time of motherboards, but it seems a little early for it to go.
And just in case you guys have not entered yet here's my
Dishonored giveaway Link
