What percentage of the customers use Amazon and GMG instead of Steam? Do you know? I sure as hell bet that Valve has a decent idea and I also bet that they've taken that into account when deciding their pricing and sales schemes.

"The customer is always right" is such a load of crap. Yes, you should treat your customers with respect and take their wishes into account but by no means are they always right. This saying leads to some customers becoming self-entitled jerks that use it as an excuse to act any way they want.

Well, they lost a lof of potential money from my pocket because I buy games mostly on GMG and Amazon nowadays. Plus retail. And I was buying a lot on Steam sales back in the day. So I don't know if they do give a fuck, or don't but they lose money because of that either way. And trust me - I'm not the only one.

Steam has completely disappointed me for the last year. And I don't want to hear people whine and say "but, but, they're sales you wouldn't have at any other point, quit bitching about SALES!" It's disappointing they set our expectations so high the last few years, made our opinion of them so great, and now they're being beaten by Amazon and GMG.

And yes, we can get these sorts of prices on games nearly year-round from other vendors.

Saints Row 3 is being sold on a Polish site for only €2.5.
Even cheaper than HB THQ.
So it is still NOT A GOOD DEAL. When you have a Polish friends its easy peasy.
I even saw Saints Row for 3.8 EUR.
