Hello,

There is something I don't understand about Steam Community Market.
I put some cards on market.
Let's assume I ask for 20 credits. Sometimes I see same card has been sold for 25 credits but my card is still on sale.
Do people decide to buy for 25 credits instead of 20 credits (it is cheap, must be bad quality =] ) or is there a bug in the sytem?

Probably someone is doing a trade.

So if someone trades a 25 credits valued card for 20 credits valued card system also calculates it.
But when I look at it I sometimes see it happened 15 times.

You're no longer allowed to do that with non-unique items like cards, you can only buy the cheapest on the market, or queue for a lower price.

When you put cards on market you confirm this on your steam app ? and your cards is in sell list not waiting mobile confirmation?
I remember once i put few cards and confirm from steam app ,but later i see that they are not in sell list :D So i cancel all and do it again and all worked ,if this is not a case ,contact steam support ,they will help you :)

Yes, I confirm them on Steam App.
I also had an similar issue once and I had to cancel orders on steam and try to sell again so I could confirm on Steam App.

Thank you

maybe it's a currency conversion issue.

I also thought about it.
Syste doesn't allow me to use 0,21 turkish lira so when i type it it wrotes0,20 instead.
I rally don't think that is the issue because I sometimes see 2-3 cents (US Dollars) difference.

Pretty sure it is a currency conversion issue as Mullins said. Americans I know never have issues, but as a Canadian, sometimes I will because of how currency gets rounded to USD I guess. I know it's not a case of people just deciding to buy more expensive items because I screwed up once when placing an order, setting my buying price to much higher then the cheapest listing for an item (decimal input didn't register, I was tired and didn't realize), the order was also to purchase 20 of the item. It instantly purchased the 20 cheapest listings for the item.

So Steam always buys the cheapest?!
I wasn't aware.

That's where Steam tax jumps up 0.01 so you would still get the same after tax, so they just use the lower number.

Thanks, That is a valuable info.

Do you mean it sold for 25 sometimes in the past? Because that is usually just a statistic, won't mean much. (Think of it like the oil prices. Just like some time ago you could sell a barrel for almost a 100 dollars, this won't mean that anyone would pay even half of that for another barrel right now.)

Yes, i ment it sold for 25 in the past.
Problem is my barrel was on sale for 20 at the same time.

Ah, that last part is the important one.
That is strange and should not be how Steam market works for cards. Those are always sold on the "lowest price to highest" basis. So if you put a card up for 20, and someone says they want to buy for 25, they pay you that 20 and your card gets bought (assuming there are no cards sold cheaper).
Can you link the market page of the card in question?

It will take some time because I have to check my cards to find one to show as example.
Thanks for caring
