Is there any chance that the remaining Telltale's games have a discount at some point?(since they closed) or it's worth buying them at full price?

Not sure about the rest of the titles but since TWD is being purchased. There's a high chance on its return to the outlets and discounts. As for other TT titles, they hasn't found a home yet, sadly. Cheers~

Seems likely Skybound is taking a while to get things working again. Also, keep in mind that there was a long holiday weekend in there in the US that probably slowed things even more.

Its not that easy. Telltale filed for bankruptcy. At this point, I believe the delay is always on the Telltale studios Management Board. How they handled the matter, released the employees without severance, no official statement since Sep 25, not even an update. So you fired the person handling twitter, you cant tweet now?

It all badly reflects on that management board. I do not know whats holding out, probably more profits. When they push the blame on the previous CEO, said the studio is not making profits and removed him. Months later they go bankrupt. Lets have patience to see where this go. Cheers, Cruse~

Law & Order is no longer available on Amazon. I should have bought it earlier, damn it. Contemplating buying Monkey Island, but I'm not sure it's worth $20. There's a decent chance Disney acquires the rights and it becomes available again.

The Walking Dead S01, S02, 400 Days and Michonne are still available on WGS / MGS. Thought about not posting because the scalpers will probably go and buy them all now, but if someone who actually wants to play the games finds it, at least it'll be worth it. I just bought Season 2, no issues with the store.

Even if Skybound brings these back to Steam, it'll likely be the new remastered version they announced. I doubt the OG versions are coming back.

Note: Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United States.

Law & Order Legacies does not appear to be region locked according to SteamDB so if you can get your hands on a key it should activate without issues.

Thanks for linking to the WGS pages, I added those links to the table

Edit: UK, FR, and DE Amazon stores also have Law and Order Legacies, I'll add those to the table

Okay, you need to use a US proxy to be able to see the purchase link. It said it was unavailable so I thought it had sold out, but activating my VPN and setting it to US made it purchasable. Thanks.

Any of you think Sam and Max'll be taken off steam before the summer sale?
Was hoping to snag it from the spring sale but none of it's discounted.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

If it is still on Steam by the time we get to the Summer Sale, it is unlikely there will be a discount. The publisher would be the one to choose the sale price but they are no longer around to do so. There is speculation that the remaining games will become purchase-disabled around the same time that GOG removes them (Monday, May 27, 10am UTC) so waiting is probably not a great idea

I'm not sure whether this was already answered, but what about unrevealed Humble Bundle keys of these games listed above? Better to reveal them now, or are they "save"?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Hard to say whether they're safe or not, but I wouldn't keep my hopes high.
Better check them as soon as possible.

Keys are not allocated on purchase, but only when you reveal them: in practice, this means that if, when you try to reveal them, they're out of stock, the publisher invalidated all unused keys, you'll be left with nothing, and nobody will be able to replace them since the publisher simply doesn't exist anymore.

At best, you might receive a partial refund, but I wouldn't count on that, as Humble ToS specify a max time window of 2 months for refunds (way too short for any Telltale bundle), and they're particularly stingy about them, even when it's THEIR fault.

Now things seem to take another ugly turn: Mojang advises you to download Minecraft Season 1 and Season 2 asap!

I am not going to speculate what exactly this means, but I am downloading both games right about now, just to be sure.

As I understand it they're deleting the actual game files from hosts on/after June 25th, so while the games wont disappear from Steam libraries the implication is that there wont be any (legal) way to download the files needed to play them.
So better safe then sorry, if you own the Minecraft games download them and make backups.

"So if you own either season of Minecraft: Story Mode on Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android, or iOS,"

I misread it as Microsoft Windows Store, still that could also be implied though, it's not really mentioning steam or GOG (where other rules might apply) as a platform itself. We really don't know for now.

Sure it's always better safe then to be sorry.

I wouldn't assume so, it depends on the owners of the other franchises. At this point in time it's just Mojang removing access to their IP (Minecraft), so unless for example Gearbox says they are removing access to Tales from the Borderlands that game will still be available to download for anyone that owns it.
Obviously if anyone is concerned same rules apply, download and backup all game files, but at this time it's only the Minecraft Telltale games that are having their files removed from servers.

Do you need to reveal the keys on humble to be safe not to lose them? (for removed games)

Edit: From the conversation above it sounds like you need to reveal them.
Does anyone know if it's the same with unrevealed keys on fanatical?

Shouldn't be the case with Fanatical, since they have an internal counter of keys which will decrease as they sell the game and once it hits 0, the game is taken out of sale.
