Walking dead will come back under Skybound games. Which isn't a bad thing.

Fingers crossed that a good developer comes and buys Telltale out. These a quite a good development studio and it will be sad to lose them. For me personally it isn't as bad as when we lost the real Lucas Arts before Disney came along, but still it will be sad to lose Telltale for the handful of decent click story games that they released.

Well I dont care about the games currently taken off except walking dead the final season which also isnt a biggy just wanted it to complete my collection but losing that amount is annoying. I want the rest of the rest of the games currently on sale but i also dont want to buy them yet so they will another thing in my wishlist taking up space that I cant get rid of soon

Well damn. There goes all my hope that'll I ever be playing TWD Season Two or their Batman games :/
Was also hoping to "repurchase" and replay TWAU on Steam at some point (I own a DRM-free copy). I bet all their games are going to get removed from Steam sooner or later, despite there being pretty much no reason at all.

The Batman games are still there. By the way, happy cake day!

Yup, they're still there for now, but I'm pretty worried that all their games will be gone from Steam sometime in the near future. Presumably before it gets discounted enough for me to be able to buy it. Bummer.
Thank you :)

Yeah, I played Wolf on PS, but would kill for an excuse to play it again on PC. Was going to use the sequel as that excuse but such a plan is no more :(
I've watched a playthrough of the second season of TWD. Honestly, I thought the story was weak and most of the twists and conflicts kind of forced, especially later on when the decisions 'matter.' But maybe that's just because the first game set the standards so high, I dunno.
Happy cakeday, anyhow? :o

Huh, maybe, but it wasn't so much boring as taking the story down a path I thought wasn't the strongest. Lacked that real grey area stuff that makes the other games compelling IMO.
There was one minor decision early on that I really, really liked though. It summed up everything I like about the best Telltale games, even if it didn't have any real bearing in the long run.

Humble and WinGameStore are still selling Steam keys for The Walking Dead games and you can buy them DRM-free from GOG

A bit misleading title, those games are not removed (banned) from Steam, just purchase disabled. A removed game doesn't have a store page, and all your /app/ links are working (subs by definition are packages to buy, so they're unavailable).
You might want to correct this.

Good point, Wallace and Gromit is genuinely removed but not the others so I updated the title to avoid confusion

The titles would be expensive if someone decided to make new games or if the licenses would run out for some reason. But in this scenario the licenses already exist and already were paid for. Whoever buys the rights just takes over the existing contracts, no additional license fees incoming.

Since you're listing old stuff that got removed a long time ago like Wallace and Gromiit, you forgot CSI: Hard Evidence.

There are reports that Skybound Games will be finishing the game, I added an article to the OP and will update if anything changes. These could all be brought back eventually but only time will tell.

Except I don't wanna download every episode of every telltale game that I own. They should release an installer that has all the episodes together. I think GOG provides all the episodes in one installer. I might just use it from them. Thanks for the reply.

That's kinda sad. Was waiting on a sale to get the back to the future games.
Oh well.
I do hope that the people they fired unfairly have gotten some kind of justice by now tho :(
