Don't be too excited to win a game because the probability that you won't is pretty high :/ i entered shit loads of skyrim because i want it a lot xD i won two games until now and i have 371 entries ... I wanted badly one of the game i won and i finally got it after many entrance to get it ^^ the other one though, bad luck, i won it and don't like it after all :/ i didn't know the game, videos of it didn't look bad but actually it ain't cool :(

There's a chance... Calculate your own winnings with 1/entries. So the more people enter a giveaway, the lower your chance to win is.

General advice is to enter giveaway with low entries (couple of 100s max) and to make a couple of giveaways so you can enter giveaways that have a minimum CV.

It takes a lot of attempts to win a game, but please try to remember that you're getting the game for free (and the entries are also free!)

Just set aside 5-10 minutes a day to check up on the give-aways and enter those you like, and eventually you will win something. It's a matter of patience. Don't forget to say thanks, especially to those who are being the most generous!

The PROBABILITY of successfully winning a giveway here is inversely proportional to the number of entries in said giveaway...

The formula here is (# of Copies) / (# of Entries). Assuming that most giveaways are for 1 copy, you can make the following assumptions & the figures listed below are just the known (& easy-to-figure) probabilities.

• 1 / 10 = 10.000%
• 1 / 20 = 5.000%
• 1 / 25 = 4.000%
• 1 / 50 = 2.000%
• 1 / 100 = 1.000%
• 1 / 200 = 0.500%
• 1 / 400 = 0.250%
• 1 / 500 = 0.200%
• 1 / 1,000 = 0.100%
• 1 / 2,000 = 0.050%
• 1 / 4,000 = 0.025%
• 1 / 5,000 = 0.020%
• 1 / 10,000 = 0.010%

You can pretty much keep doing this forever, but the point is that each person that enters LOWERS the probability for any one person to win. It doesn't eliminate your chance of winning, it just makes it increasing improbable. The only way to increase your chance at winning are to...

• Enter into a multiple-copy giveaway... For example, the Dwarfs!? givaway right now has 10,000 copies & 17,374 entries (at time this was written), currently making the probability for any one person to win a copy at ~57.557% (not perfect, but a hell of a lot better than most giveaways).
• Enter into giveaways with LOW number of entries & little time left TO ENTER... As the table shows above, entering into a giveaway with less than 100 entries will result in a higher rate of success compared to entering into a giveaway with 200+ entries. HOWEVER, if the giveaway will be open for a few more days, that allows a lot more people to jump in as well compared to a few minutes... so there's the "Chicken Factor" to contend with.

That's about it here for your quick lesson in probability. Don't get depressed if you don't win, the system is set up against your favor & the only way you can guarantee an eventual win is if you keep entering giveaways.

Everytime I see threads like this I wonder, does OP even read the comments? There is in like 90% of "these threads" no response of OP.

I won my first giveaway at around 2000 entries (and that wasn't even a public ga, it was a group giveaway, therefore I had 14,29% chance to win). Solve puzzles, enter private giveaways or multiple copy giveaways, that way you are increasing your chances. Still, you have to be patient. VERY patient.

The odds are against you, unless you join a giveaway group with rich people.

You can win, but don't expect to win every day. You need lots of luck and smart spending on your points. Don't just enter on every giveaway you see, enter only the giveaways for games you REALLY want to play. If you want to improve your chances, there is only one way. Giveaway games!

It's all luck, man. If you're concerned with winning, enter giveaways that relatively few people have entered. Of course, you might not be interested in this games, but you have a better chance of winning. I know some people that would prefer winning a game they will never play over losing trying to get a game they want. :/

Myself, I've been... lucky, I guess. 175 entries, 2 wins. Unfortunately one was Medal of Honor 2010 (I had hoped it would be better... I was wrong). The other was Fortix, but y'know.
