Yep, that's right. I like AAA games, like Call of Duty, GTA V, Assasins Creed, they are the best. Yep, I don't like Indie Games because.. I don't know, I like famous games. If you say that I play them, you're wrong, just go and check my steam profile for proof!

What's your opnion about indie games?

Update: giveaway has ended, gz if you found it, sending the prize to winner tomorrow morning.

I don't even turn on my console or PC for anything less than a AAAA game.

Minecraft is 5th best selling PC game in the World with 12 million copies sold (just a little more an will be the 4th because currently is is Half-Life with 12 million sells too, and Diablo III has 12 million too and it's the 3rd), the most buyable CoD is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on XBOX 360 with 7.5 million copies sold, and Minecraft sold 12 million.

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games

EdiT: even the Minecraft: Pocket Edition sold number is 9.4 million.

It's not horribly surprising. Minecraft is available on a lot of platforms. PC, tablet, console...

But when it comes to money, CoD has a higher price tag and yearly installments. Those Minecraft sales are over the entire existence of the game, while Call of Duty sells millions each year.

My only problem with most indie games is that they are way too obvious rip-offs, 2-3 maybe 4 hour of gameplay for 15+ €.
Of course there are good, nice, fun, innovative indie games which offer different gameplay than most games, but still, I think the "retro gamestyle omgsocool" indie games should not be alloved to be priced above 5€.

Not always true, Cave Story is my favorite and well its only really a couple hours long and is obviously influenced by Metroid and the like, worth more then 5 bucks.

Some indie games are great. Bastion had a more involving story than most AAA games out there. Trine was incredible, Trine 2 was beautiful (but ultimately boring :( ).
I gotta admit, though, that I've had my fill of "indie puzzle platformers" now. If I see those tags or descriptions on a game, I walk away.

My opinion about indie games is that... they are indie games!

Seriously, it's not like when a person likes a genre or type of something that they like ALL of them. I love the horror genre but dislike a lot of it. Same applies to gaming. I like indie games but it depends entirely upon the individual title. Same as with AAA games or any publisher-supported game.

Aren't the Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy indie games? Same with FTL, Mark of the Ninja, Don't Starve, Bastion, Terraria, etc.

I have a lot of indie games because I'm not averse to trying new things when they're in bundles and cheap, but I dislike most of them. I like games that are somewhere in between one-dev-in-his-bedroom indie and AAA - e.g. Paradox strategies and RPGs produced by bigger independent teams. Everyone has their own tastes, I guess.
