I can see now there's an information about it (a door not working) in the thread but after all these years this event is alive, I've stopped reading the description except for my interest points. Is it possible to add this info in the calendar for future mes (or highlight it a bit in the thread)?

It's possible to add something to the calendar, but wouldn't it be funny if you had to press ctrl + f5 to see it. Not sure about how I could highlight it in the thread though.

The way the doors work is that each day, the CSS is edited to get a new rule for the new door. However, since the browser caches the CSS, this change won't be noticed without a hard refresh. One way to avert this would be to also edit the edit the HTML each day, changing "css/calendar2022.css" to "css/calendar2022.css?day=1", then "css/calendar2022.css?day=2", etc. That would trick the browser into thinking it's a new CSS file, so it wouldn't just load the old one from the cache.

Yea, i did that last year, but this year i was lazy :v guess i will go back to the file name change, will be easier for everyone.
Edit: just did that, won't be an issue for next days, this is on me (tho tbf it's browsers fault, but shhhh)

hm, i can try doing something, is it really laggy? did you have the issues last year as well? iirc the code is basically the same. What browser are you using btw.?

i think so about last year.
but last year I was on chrome, now on firefox...
i'm on linux, maybe that has something to do with it? different rendering?

Ok, i just checked Firefox and it indeed gets really laggy. Not sure how i can tackle this problem tho, works fine on chromium based browsers (edge, opera, chrome). Will try to figure it out.

Welcome to the (un)official Steamgifts-Community-Christmas-Calendar 2022
For a while now, each year we've had a Christmas Calendar. This marks the 6th annual SG Community Christmas Calendar. Thanks to MachinesAreHuman for starting this tradition, and thanks to bron99 for helping with the website.
Before we get to the calendar, I'd like to take this moment to remind everyone about mental health. If you're ever not feeling well or notice someone else isn't doing well, please reach out or extend a hand where you're able.
Each day around 7:59 CET a new door will open, giveaways will be lvl 0 or lvl 1 and will stay open for 24h.
