There was a temporary glitch when it first started so people were getting cards from doing the queue now, but it also gave them cards for voting during the last sale's event.

It's usually like getting an "advance" for the next day, if it works like in the past. So the last day you can;t do it.

Did it also report that you had -1 cards left for today, in the past? I never heard about cards being available in advance.
I rather expected that they meant to offer 3 cards, as with all previous sale events and as the FAQ explains, and that the queue counter got somehow messed up.

Winter Sale 16, I think, and Summer Sale 17 for sure, had that happen, I had up to -2 cards left and the next day it would go up to 1 left. until the last day where it stopped at 0.
Maybe it was a "not-widespread" bug more people are experiencing now.

At the start and end of the queue it says 2 cards a day.
I don't know what the FAQ has to do with this also happening in the past when they were 3 cards at a time and you could get to " -2 cards left today" .
I think they fixed that other bug, but made a typo where it displays "2 cards a day" instead of 3.

And you couldn't get them on the last day? I never experienced that bug. But I've gotten 3 cards a day from the queue for the past several sales at least, without ever seeing negatives.

It says I can get -1 cards from the queue but didn't actually give me a card when I finished. Also, for me that earlier glitch didn't grant a dozen cards as it did for everyone, it only granted 8. Steam is being weird with me today.

Try again regarding the -1 showing already. You might get the 3rd "regular" card.

You might not be able to get more than the maximum anyone else can get, if you are not getting any more cards until you do enough to "have earned" the 8 you've gotten.

I just thought I'd let you know that you can get 3 cards, just as at all previous sale events and as the FAQ explains, while the queue info suggests that you are done after 2 cards. So just do another run and ignore the message.
Edit: This isn't related to the earlier bug that granted a dozen cards and that got fixed. And you won't get any further cards, after the third. ;)
