Yeah I'm sure :P I've never had any trouble using either and I really don't understand why people are always whining about whichever card they DONT use :O

I don't really care about 144fps. 30 or 60 is all I need and I'm definitely not interested in spending more money on monitors because I have plenty already :P

I have a somewhat similar setup with an AMD Phenom II X4 965 and just upgrading my video card to a GTX 1060 6GB has so far been able to provide solid 60fps gameplay at 1080p so I'd say you're on the right track if you're on a budget build option.

Just looking for some thoughts on these parts for running modern titles on 60 fps medium/high.
Right now I'm looking at a gtx 1060 6gb (asus), i5 6500 and 16gb ram in a Gigabyte GA-B150-HD3P mobo for about 550 euro.
At the moment I'm running my old but gold Phenom II x4 840 with an r9 270x hawk and I can run most modern AAA games on medium/high with a 30fps lock quite comfortably but I'm definitely ready for an upgrade :)
My max budget would be around 600 so any suggestions for a new system would be nice. AMD or Nvidia doesn't really matter.
edit: I am in no way interested in anything above 60fps. On a budget here and 144hz+ is not on my lishlist
