If you host a "F5 event", members who hit F5 too often will be timed out by Steamgifts and have to wait some minutes before they can access SG again.
IMHO this adds a little spice to a F5 event as you can not reload every second.

Take a look at the numbers in the thread linked above.
If I understand rates correctly, a user without scripts (ESGST and the like) should be able to hit F5 according to that numbers. If you use scripts, a couple of requests will be done by the scripts each time you hit F5.
The timeout will last, until your average is below the numbers in the thread again.

Back in the day I used to shitpost a lot.
Used to make lots of SG related events and dumb SG youtube videos.
Made a group against gifting.
I even almost sued Steamgifts/cg ;p (Still waiting for my money cg)
Last few years I've been a lurker. But I'm happy this site is still alive and well. Always wanted to return and become more involved, do more F5 giveaways, SG Hunger Games, etc but life's been busy and not really treating me the best. So that return, if ever, will have to wait a bit longer.
