3 months and 5 won-giveaways in. I feel as though I should give back. However, I am not made of money and am wondering as to what you think about bundled-game giveaways... ... as I am considering to host one.

This may or may not be my first thread.

What you give away does not matter as much as the fact that you're giving something away. There will always be people who appreciate it, no matter what game it is.

A lesson on "appreciation."

Games are games. People will be happy either way. My only problems with them is that some people will get annoyed that they don't count for high levels and some private groups, and that is more of a problem that some people are greedy tightwads and giving only for value.

Greed, one of the seven deadly sins, how sad a sin it is.

Thank you for your feedback. :3

You should "share the love" even if you can't afford giving-away some fancy game.I'm kinda in the same situation since i can't afford getting expensive titles even even for myself so so i decided to share one or two games to the community from these cheap bundles i get my hands on.....Good luck.

It doesn't matter if it's been bundled or not, as long as a game looks interesting to me, I'm grateful a GA has been created for it.

Giving is the important part. Give what you want, and can afford.

Games are games, right? There have been tons of amazing games that were bundled, i.e. the bioshock series :D

That's exactly true, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was humble-bundled. ^-^

And Tropico 4.
I just got it, and played like 18 hours of it.

^ SO MUCH THIS
There are so many great games that have been bundled.
I wouldn't mind winning a bundled game just because it wasn't expensive.

I pretty much only give away games I didn't use from the bundle and didn't trade. Some games I make GA of have good reviews, others... not so much.
I have won good and bad games. Even if it's bad, it's still fun to win a game xD

Giving is giving, and should be appreciated all the same. But giving non-bundles is always more appreciated because bundled games are comparatively easy and inexpensive to acquire. Basic supply and demand issue.

If it's not in a bundle today it will be soon after you buy it at the regular price. At least that's how my luck seems to be. A game is a game. I have paid a buttload of money for AAA games that turned out to be crap and I have had some of the best fun with cheap or bundled games. Give away whatever you please. There's always someone that may want it.

This site needs a new Fortix too. I miss those giveaways.

"Fortix," as in the steam game?

Yes. For a good period of time it was one of the cheapest if not the cheapest game you could buy on Steam. It wasn't in a bundle for a long time either.

People used to give it away a lot on here as a result and it became a meme of sorts.

It wasn't a bad game either in my opinion, I completed it and got all the achievements.

The only "issue" with bundle games is that some people consider them to be a cheap offering, and often something they could easily have gotten themselves. However, I would say they're a much better offering than nothing at all. I think it's nice that you're willing to contribute back to the community.

As for those who look down on people who are only able to give bundle games, just ignore them.

Right now, my favorite game is a bundle game.... SpeedRunners.

They're fine. I've really enjoyed some of the bundle games I've won on here. Games like Rochard (my first win), LIMBO, To The Moon and 10,000,000 to name a few.

I give bundled games as well as non-bundled.

As I am not donated all bundles I am very happy for the chance to win them. I would like to try to win some of the "free" games.
And SpeedRunners..... I enter that when I see it. And I give away what I am able.

the only reason they are called bundle games is for CV system
in the end its a game and people will want it

I have conflicting feelings on this. I have won a couple of games from bundles and I'm glad because it was the only game in the bundle I wanted and I wasn't going to buy the whole bundle for it. I probably would have bought it later on sale had I not won it. I have leftover bundle keys, but I feel wrong giving them away as it may take away a sale from that game. I also worry that the winner may only use the game to farm cards, and I would rather the game go to someone that wants to play it.

I haven't given away a game I got in a bundle, although one was bundled after I gave it away. I have a list of almost 200 games from bundles that I could give away, and I have recently been thinking I should find them homes.

Games are games. I cant really afford to give away much more than bundled games either right now. As long as its a contribution, someone will appreciate it.

I mean, many people give away bundled games because they have extra keys with nothing to do with them. It's silly to complain about that. Obviously it's not as generous as, say, buying Skyrim or GTA V at full price and gifting it, but it's still a gift.

If I can only giveaway bundle games I try to give the ones I think are the best, otherwise it looks bad in my profile(?).

Your gift is bad when no one want to enter it (given the fact it cost almost nothing)

Well said. As long as there are entries, the gift is good. I just made a giveaway for 2 Bad Rats awhile ago and there were two entries...

A good game is a good game, regardless of bundled or not. Buying bundles is financially better for the buyer, and also if you're feeling generous, you can get a lot of gifts for cheap, making more people happy :)

There are several bundled titles that I consider to be masterpieces, and tons of other games which are at least decent. Don't be discouraged by "bundled" status, it means literally nothing.

Nothing wrong with giving away bundled games, don't worry :) It's the good intention that counts :)
