I'm pretty sure they give some older Source games for free dependent upon some conditions met. I'm not certain what exactly but I think it's related to either: a) Number of games owned, b) Age of account, c) Other account-related conditions, or d) A combination of the above.

H2 Deatmach and Lost coast was part of the old (or is it still up?) Nvidia and Geforce video card offer, what comes about Dod, not quite sure :P Got it during that infamous Steam coal event XD

I just added the newest bundlestars set to Steam, and was looking at my uninstalled game list - when amongst the games for they keys I just entered out of nowhere I noticed I now have sitting in my library:
Day of Defeat: Source
Half Life 2: Deathmatch
Half Life 2: Lost Coast
Anyone else ever have something like that happen to them?
edit: they show up on my account/games list on the Steam website too. Odd
