Do you like your Capital City?
I've only been to Barcelona and Lleida so I can't compare it to Madrid but Barcelona is definitly one of the most beautiful cities I've been to together with San Francisco.

I have never been to the country's Capital so don't know to much about it apart from it's rather windy there

Rome - No. I've only been there a couple of times and it's been enough. It's choke-full of tourists, I dislike the accent and super friendly manners (cinepanettone may be partly to blame), the weather's too warm, most of the ruins are too old and broken down to really be that interesting (and I dislike that time period anyway). Plus, most of the tours/museums are in an embarassing state.
I prefer Milan. :3

Venice is pretty nice, as long as you manage to avoid the rain - you have to walk/take a boat everywhere in the historical centre. And... there are of course no parks, nor benches, nor places you can sit down for a sec to relax. So if you want to take a break, you're pretty much forced to enter a cafe.
Florence's beautiful, but I haven't been there long enough. If you don't find it creepy, Pompeii's the most interesting place to visit in my opinion.

The problem with Prague is that all the nice places are crowded with (foreign) tourists and expensive, while the places where you would actually live are ugly.
Brno is the same. but at least there are every-day-life-things in the center and it's crowded by the locals instead.
Big cities are awful. >:(

Thank you for the train.:)
I don't mind my capital, which is called Ottawa. I haven't been there in decades, so that may be why I don't mind it.;)

Ooh! I really like those pictures, Yirg! Especially the second and fourth ones! The blue reflecting onto the snow gives it an unearthly look to it, and the fourth one just looks cool (no pun intended!;) ).:)
The novelty of driving in show has worn off for me, long, long ago! LOL!
ETA: I actually saved picture #2 to my computer.:)

I'm glad you liked the pictures. I actually enjoyed walking around Ottawa at night, at -10℃, taking them. Speaking of novelty, it was probably the longest I've ever been in such cold weather. December nights in Israel (where I live) are around 10℃, no negative sign.
Here's a higher resolution version of #2 :-)

Did you dress properly for the weather or did you find yourself "under bundled"? The main problem with winter around here is that it is so humid, which makes it feel even colder. I think a dry cold would be better (less moisture in the air).
I enjoy walking down the streets around Christmas time, as all the lights and decorations are up, and they look lovely glistening and shining in the snow.:) Later at night, when there are hardly any cars driving around, it is quite peaceful.:)
Thanks for the higher resolution pic. I'll grab that one instead.:)

I think I dressed ok considering that most of my wardrobe is suited to warm weather. The challenge was the shoes. I don't have any shoes with fur (or other heavy insulation) inside, so before the trip I bought socks that were supposed to be suitable for the coldest weather. Although I put on another layer of warm socks it was only borderline acceptable.
Still, considering I spent a few hours outside in this kind weather, I really can't complain. Luckily there was no wind or rain, so it was easier for me to stay out than I originally thought.

Glad to hear that you dressed properly. You wouldn't have wanted to get a cold, after all.:)
At least you didn't go there in the middle of a blizzard! That would probably not be quite so fun.;)

One word dude... The Netherlands.
Two words, but who cares! (^w^)
Amsterdam is an awful place, in my opinion. The streets are lousy, the mood is sombre, the buildings are too tall to see anything around you, and there's at least 5 crappy souvenir shops on every street.

I'm tired of living in my capital/cities in general.

Absolutely not.
Way too many people, terrible air quality, high prices especially crazy housing costs.
But I had to live there for years due to college. Uggh I don't ever want to live there again, but I'm pretty sure I'll be there with all the suitcases soon..

I grow up in capital city, I can't help to like it, maybe because get use to it...

Been there a few times and I liked it. It is smaller than were I live, but not a bad place to visit for the weekend. Most peeps who live there though are bureaucrats/politicians so take that as you will :P.
If anyone ever does visit there, I strongly recommend they see the Northern Lights show. Saw it 2 years ago and it was wonderful :D.

I like to visit from time to time. But I wouldn't want to stay a long time.

Hello SG people!
So I need to go to my country's capital city in couple of hours to attend an event. And I fucking hate going there, it is ugly, people are not nice and the moment my foot touches this city's ground I immediately want to go back to my hometown.
I needed a topic for my train so you saw what I did :D
