Should we be grateful for both the good things and bad things that happen in our lives?

I wish you all the best and I'm impressed by your approach on life. I'm not grateful for the really bad things, that happen(ed) in my life, which I couldn't change or influence. But I'm trying to be grateful for the good things, for which I didn't do anything. Such simple things, which seem to be normal, like not experiencing a war in my country, enough food and water, a safe place to sleep, etc.
And of course thank you for this train.

You know good things happen because bad things exist

I just want all of SG users to be aware that we should be grateful for what we have and that everything is gonna be okay, no matter where we are or what we do, we should always try to see the bright or positive side of things that happen in our lives.
I've seen a lot of topics referring to a particular celebration or achievement, but I've never seen one where people just want to be grateful for everything that is happening in their lives. I know I'm not the right person to create this topic because I constantly suffer of depression and wish I was dead, but I hope none of you feel that way and just enjoy what you have.
Take care guys and have a good day!
