First World Bank and Heat Street are inspired by that movie

watch this for example. The soundtrack is almost the same and in Payday the AI Hoxton even has a chance to act like Robert de Niro in that movie (stepping onto that table)

I agree, and so do the filmmakers apparently. It's better to have it on indefinite hold than to cave in to a bunch of corporate pussies who screw it up because they think they have better ideas about how it should be made. Case in point: DOOM. ALL the games center around a portal to Hell. How hard can it be to keep that in a movie version? It can't be because they were afraid of backlash for using real demons from hell in the plot. They make movies like Prophecy, Ninth Gate, End of Days, Legion, and Event Horizon all the time. Or resident evil. I love the movies, but seriously? How hard is it to keep the movie as survival horror? If they had brought in George Romero to at least consult on how to make a horror movie with zombies, they could have made the series even better.

It was a direct to tv movie made by syfy to coincide with the also made-by-syfy game, Red Faction Armegeddon. It's called Red Faction Origins. While I say it's horrible (my own opinion), it's at least millions of times better than other pieces of shit syfy comes out with
