Akalabeth is like a great interactive exhibit in the museum of cRPG history. I highly recommend playing it for at least a few hours along with the original Rogue as a learning experience. Zork is optional. Akalabeth is, in no way, an amazing game, but it's really interesting as a piece of history. I'm glad GOG got the rights to distribute it.

Which was better back in the '80s, Wizardry or Ultima?

(Akalabeth counts as an Ultima game -- it's nicknamed Ultima 0)
