fallout 3 was amazing and ive always wanted to try out fallout new Vegas especially since its got lots of modding possibilities.

Also there will be people (like me) who have played and loved fallout 1+2 in the late 90s. not even steam available at the time.. and fallout vegas is really the only one I'm interested from the modern ones, mainly because it's more rpg and less action oriented than 3 or 4. Nothing beats the tactical classic playstyle of the two old ones imo and the world immersion you'd get through dialogues and rpg elements. This franchise has changed completely throughout the years in an all-together different genre, almost fps.. Fallout 3-4 are literally different games to put them in the same basket. Vegas is indeed interesting though.

New Vegas is different from 3. Not only because, as you said, has a lot more roleplaying elements, but also because is made by former members of Interplay and you can actually feel the universe. Like the same world, evolving, even if its another place, its the same place and I'm pretty sure you and every Fallout fan can feel the same. Fallout 3 was a good adventure but a weak fallout, Wasteland DC was a good place but has nothing to do with Fallout wastelands, right?
Obisidan also took lots of content from the cancelled Van Buren, wich is also nice.

Well, because NV was the last game of the old Fallouts, which were so different from the new Bethesda-made ones that they could really be different franchises as there is zero in common with the two, at least if we look past the fact that new Vegas had to use FO3's engine as per contract. :)

…ly good example of how to mess everything up in Game Design 101. It had actual fundamental game design errors including an actual, real cheat code inserted into the DLC against the player. If it would have been a university project, they would have failed that subject so hard it would have hurt physically. I swear that DLC could be taught on how not to make a game because it has wonderfully gigantic and obvious flaws.
Not that it is alone, of course, since the first DLC, Anchorage has similarly huge issues, just the other way around: it is not only almost impossible to lose it even at level 1, but it also nets rewards that turn the player functionally invincible.

Anchorage has stations littered all over that heal you fully and restocks ammo any time, with no cooldown. You can aggro the first enemy, camp near one healing station, and just kill them as they pop up. It is rather boring, but it gives you an armour that permanently cloaks you, and a sword that one-hit kills anything, including behemoths. (Or you can take the second most resilient power armour that can never break as it has infinite item HP.)
I like Mothership Zeta too, because if you take about 50-60 pistols with you, you have more or less infinite money and just can buy everything any time. Not that you'd need it, but having infinite money is always fun.

I really want to play Fallout 3 and New Vegas! The only problem is, the games never released in India because the developers were scared that it might get banned because of the Brahmin! I did play the original Fallout for quite a bit a couple of years ago (I own it on GOG), but I felt dis attached to the game because I had a hard time with the interface and couldn't really get the hang of it. So yeah, that's my case! (Also you wont find Fallout NV on my Wishlist because I can't access the store page due to the above reasons.)

That actually isn't true! The game was never banned in India! It was Microsoft who decided not to release it in India. I believe the key should work fine.

Hmm, I had a friend who got it using a VPN. Well I guess I'll not enter if the key has a chance of not working.
