Im trying to find out how to disable the hotkeys on my f1-f12 button. I need these buttons for my game so i want them disabled. Im using a HP laptop with windows 10. Ive seen people with the same problem, and said that you have to tap f10 when ur switching ur laptop on to disable it. But nothing happens happens when i try this.

So is there another way to disable the hotkeys?

Yes there is, you'll have to do it in the BIOS though assuming it's the same on all HP laptops.
here's a guide
-edit- the F10 fix you're referring too is simply the way you enter your BIOS, it's the first step it doesn't actually disable your hotkeys, also you need to hit it at the right time when booting which depending on your laptop might be anywhere between 1 sec and a whole minute, just spam f10 as soon as the laptop boots.

Have you tried spamming F10 from the moment your laptop switches on untill you're logging into windows?
If you're running win 8/10 the window of opportunity might be too small to actually get into the bios, have a look here if that's the case.

If F10 doesn't work try some other keys. I have had computers that used the delete key, F1, F2, F8.

Did you hold the Fn key while you spammed F10?
