More accurately, the story is that you could get games on steam with Valve knowning about it but not giving a fuck until someone actually went ahead and did it.
That exploit on their back-end is supposed to be fixed now though.

Well, Steam is already turning into a cesspool thanks to Greenlight. Valve apparently doesn't care about quality control... just look at all of the Digital Homicide games on the store. Greenlight has such a horrible setup, especially since "no" votes do not matter.

The whole greenlight program is excellent on paper, but in practice it is deeply flawed for the simple reason that votes can be controlled on a large scale by offering free keys. The $100 submission cost is fine, and it's an industry standard (ios is $99), but companies like DH need to be purged. I would love to see not only game reviews, but also developer reviews so that less informed consumers can see the trend.

The greenlight system is fully automated.
The quality control (or what passes for it...) only comes after.
We'll see this taken down soon enough when someone at either Valve or Blizzard wakes up.

Yep. As proven by them releasing 3 reskins of Krog Wars and a reskin of one of their other things last Friday.

How long unti the greenlight page is not available?

Finally! I've been waiting for this my whole life!
EDIT: Seriously though, do the people who post really shitty / ironic stuff realize the risk of getting Greenlight taken down? Even if that's the intention, then what? Ignore the fact that it ever existed? It's like protesting for a restaurant to be closed, succeeding, then walking away as if nothing happened.

Probably the first time I voted yes on a greenlight.

This is hilariously bad. Some great comments, though. I particularly enjoyed the one person saying how annoyed they were about the version numbers being labeled incorrectly.

A joyful day for MMO lovers indeed, as World of WarCraft is coming to Steam Greenlight.
And it is totally 100% pure legit.
After all, illegal private servers are legit, right?
Edit: Well, it was taken down. It is a sad day indeed. No cracked private WoW servers for the Steam users. :(
