Should there be a option to create a giveaways for personth that blacklisted you?
It would be nice if blacklisting had an optional reason attached to it so you could know at least. I don't see the point of creating giveaways for people who blacklist you (aside from your one scenario) but if it had come through as a message saying xxx has blacklisted you because 'Didn't say thank you' that would be neat.
Options could be:
-Didn't say thanks
-Won too much already
-Bad ratio
-Didn't activate
-Insert reason here: __

There are no point to give blacklisted person nickname or link to person who blacklisted since some one can start harrasing him (write on his profile, blacklist him back and so on)
But in my opinion creation giveaway for such persons who blacklisted you (even if there will be 10% of blacklisting for no reason) is a good thing.

A similar suggestion (probably made already) would be to allow the blacklister to add an optional comment that the blacklister will see in addition to "because you've been added to the user's blacklist." I know that I would use it in most cases, largely because I don't often remember myself, but I'm almost always happy to provide some level of explanation. It also can keep blacklist drama out of threads.
The problem, of course, is that many/most/some folks would just add incendiary crap as a "parting shot," and it could escalate from there...

Well, a solution to that would be instead of "User X has blacklisted you..." just have a message like "A user has blacklisted you..."
That way the blacklisted user won't know who did blacklist him, so he can't go and harras the blacklister.

I don't think that's a good idea because that would just promote false blacklistings.

I was having a thought experiment with this option before. The solution is actually pretty simple, you can just add those people to your whitelist (temporarily) and make a whitelist giveaway. The downside is that if you already use your whitelist (like most people probably do), it's going to get mixed up.

You could export your original whitelist first, remove everyone and add the person who blacklisted you with the help of this nice userscript

But i cant see who blacklisted me for that giveaway. And i cant add him to white list. Offcourse there is option to ask some one to check that by giving him link to giveaway (it could be done with every blacklisting) but then why steam gifts dont show you who blacklisted you. And I dont want to bother anyone with such checking out who blaclisted me.

You can see who you won it from http://www.steamgifts.com/user/Aliaksei/giveaways/won

Oh yes. My bad, was trying to get to page with giveaway from http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaways/won .

I wouldn't want that feature. If they blacklisted you they probably don't want to see giveaways by you for a reason.
There is a good chance the person blacklisted you just because you won their giveaway though. A lot of people don't want the same winner multiple times, so it might not be just because you didn't say thank you. That said, if their profile is public you can possibly leave a comment saying thanks?

let me see if i understand...because i don't have anyone blacklisted, i get no games?
ok...that's fair enough

But in my case i can blacklist this person. Since i can see his profile on steamgifts. And if i wanted to i could blacklist him. Also you can always find a person who blaclisted you by just putting link of giveaway you cant enter to another browser.

That's true, but that's only one person so far. I've silently blacklisted (and probably been silently blacklisted by) a bunch of people (I only blacklist for rules violations unless I'm in a particularly foul mood, but some people...) and that would break the secrecy. That said, yes, you can figure out if someone blacklisted you without too much difficulty if you ever find one of their giveaways.

Hm this can be interesting but not many will do such a thing. you can also add the creater of the giveaway and gift him.
BUT what i really want is that when you blacklist someone you also will get in to his/her blacklist. so you cant enter in a giveaway of the person you blacklisted. (just to be unfair)

I think there should be option to create giveaways for persons that blacklisted you.
For example: Yesterday i won giveaway, activated key, and forget to say thank you. Because this person blacklisted me i couldn't say thank you today (figured out that i was blacklisted when was entering the page of won giveaway). - this blacklisting was for reason in some way (i think so).
I want to be able to create a giveaway for such persons i dont need to know their nicknames or something, I just want to say thank you by creating a giveaway if i forget to do this before by writing it comment.
What you think about it?
