Gather 'round, and hear my tale of woe! </hammy acting>

*gasps from the audience*

Almost a month ago, I entered two giveaways to win a game, both giveaways were made by the same person, and both ended at the exact same time. One giveaway was restricted to Level 3+, hidden behind an easy puzzle, and was for 5 copies. The other giveaway was for Level 5+, hidden behind a harder puzzle, and was for a considerable 30 copies.

I was very interested in this game, so I entered both of the giveaways. However, as the giveaways drew to a close, it became apparent that there would be only 30 entries for the 30 copy giveaway. So, I thought I would be smart and withdraw from the 5 copy giveaway (which saw 67 entries) in order to prevent a possible reroll situation (not concerned about points, the giveaways were only worth 1 point each). I opened up two windows, one of the 5 copy and one of the 30 copy, and in the final minute when there were still only 30 entries I removed myself from the 5 copy giveaway.

...or so I thought. I had inadvertently opened two windows of the 30 copy giveaway, and thus withdrew from the wrong one! By the time I realised my mistake, it was too late. The 30 copy giveaway ended with 29 entries, none of them mine. And thus ends the story of how I managed to lose a giveaway I had a 100% chance of winning.

I didn't spend any time moping about it, however. Instead, I was amused by my own incompetence, and wanted to share this tale with you, along with helping to promote the game and developer. Included below will be a giveaway for 5 copies of the game, as well as several other games I've purchased to sweeten the deal. NEW! Several new giveaways have been added below. ENDED

Before I proceed, I wish to thank the following people:
Tetsuj1n, for making the original giveaway which brought my attention to the game.
Tchii, for bringing Tetsuj1n's giveaways to my attention in the Winter Wonderland thread.
And the developer, FelGC, for making the games (and being an all around nice person).

The game is Think To Die 2, and it's a different sort of platformer. Instead of trying to survive the level, you have to find a way to kill yourself (or sometimes, yourselves). Sounds easy? Not always! I'm currently stuck on a relatively early level of Think To Die 2, but I've decided to leave it there until I've finished the original, Think To Die. Did I mention that Think To Die is free? No? Go get it!

"Think To Die" is a different and creative casual puzzle game where you have to find a way to die in order to pass the level. To do so, you have to master different situations, combine objects, and time your actions.

The game starts with a small introduction/tutorial. The more levels you pass, the harder they will become, the more players you will have to kill, the more you will have to think. Puzzle your way through over 145 levels. Furthermore, you have an option to skip any level in case you get stuck in one of them.

Meanwhile in all other games your main goal is to survive, in "Think To Die" its exactly the other way round. If you love puzzles, classic and old-fashioned entertaining games, then this might be one you would enjoy a lot.

The game itself was inspired by the Karoshi Series, adding new puzzle mechanics, interesting puzzles and a lot of new features.

Think To Die 2 is a level based puzzle platformer with over 95 levels where your goal is to die. You usually accomplish this by smashing yourself with blocks, jumping into spikes or getting shot. Although it might seem very easy at first, you'll soon start to realize that as you progress and the more levels you pass, the harder it'll become. A fun game shaping up the a suicidal puzzler genre.

The game was designed to make you constantly think outside the box and find creative and new ways to kill yourself. As you progress you'll experience harder and harder levels, new items and objects.

About the game
Think To Die 2 follows the steps of Think To Die. Episode 2 however focuses much more on Quality than on Quantity. Every level has its own level design, and every puzzle challenges the player anew. The music from Part 1 was taken over and a few new background music tracks have been added. The game is now fully in 3D and the graphics have been completely changed. The puzzles are way harder to solve and some controls (like the click-teleportation controls) haven been improved and changed.

If you are at all interested in the Think To Die 2, but not ready to buy yet (why wouldn't you be, it's only $0.99 USD), please put it in your wishlist! Also try out the original Think To Die (free) or the demo for Think To Die 2.

So, without further ado, the giveaways!

I remember you. I still don't know fully how that happened with that one. Your part makes sense but still..... 30 to give away, 29 entered. and 28 won. Something about a suspension perhaps. No mater. I was one of the 28. I forgot about this. I think I'll go play the first free one so I can then play this one. Thanks for the reminder. This does look good.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain that somewhere between entering and the giveaway ending, someone was suspended permanently, so they weren't allowed to win. 30 copies, 29 entrants, 28 winners.

You should! It can be frustrating trying to die sometimes, but I've been having a lot of fun with it.

That was funny. I had a likewise experience, but was not my end's fault. I had solved a really hard puzzle in the past and was the only solver and entrant to a AAA game GA. The creator informed little before the GA end that he wouldn't be able to provide the key and deleted it.

Happy cake day! And thank you for all the other giveaways you're currently running (even though I'm still yet to win even one...).

Yeah, it did suck a bit at the time, but like Sir Donald Bradman who finished with a 99.94 batting average due to an early out in his final game, I ended up with a much cooler story by just missing out in the final moment.

In the final Test at The Oval, Bradman walked out to bat in Australia's first innings. He received a standing ovation from the crowd and three cheers from the opposition. His Test batting average stood at 101.39. Facing the wrist-spin of Eric Hollies, Bradman pushed forward to the second ball that he faced, was deceived by a googly, and bowled between bat and pad for a duck. An England batting collapse resulted in an innings defeat, denying Bradman the opportunity to bat again and so his career average finished at 99.94; if he had scored just four runs in his last innings, it would have been 100. A story developed over the years that claimed Bradman missed the ball because of tears in his eyes, a claim Bradman denied for the rest of his life.

Don't feel bad! All three in the middle are "correct" in their own way. I'd actually argue that the lesser chosen of those three are more correct than the middle one. ;)
