Seen it already recommended but I will say it again because this cannot be stressed enough: get The Banner Saga.
It is a beauty to watch and wonderfully well put together. The gameplay is solid, the story is great, the aesthetic is jawing dropping gorgeous. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you do not play it.

Hey Steamgifts! I have $35 on Steam, and I was wondering what turn-based or strategy games you guys like! I really enjoy the Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Civilization, some of the Total War games, and stuff like that! Any suggestions are welcome!
