I'd say good. The "desktop" app is like Windows 7, with some small improvements, such as a nicer copy/paste dialog, and built-in ISO-mounting. It boots really fast as well. The Metro start screen, etc. is what people are concerned about, and you can get rid of it with a free start menu app like Pokki.
