Kind of in a way, but it saves your collected duck progress unless you start a new save. You get a random duck drop like every couple minutes or so and they just float around in the pool together. You can interact with the ducks and watch them go down slides and stuff. It's more of a run in the background "while watching a show" or "while doing chores" type of game. It's entertaining lol

So myself (along with many others here and elsewhere) have been hearing about this game called Banana on Steam and all of its shady scammy issues. It's basically a glorified idle collectathon game about occasionally clicking a banana and getting banana steam item drops to sell on the market to make pennies and buy other bananas to turn into more pennies by hoping it's value increases. Definitely one of those FOMO games that'll never go anywhere, but people install and play anyways. 🤷♂️ Just don't play this junk...
Anyways, hearing about it recently reminded me of a game my wife has on her PC that she loves. It's called Placid Plastic Duck Simulator, an idle collectathon game about collecting rubber duckies and just enjoying the different kinds of ducks floating around together in pools. Basically a cute relaxing background game to have running when not doing anything to see what neat duck drops every couple minutes.
The difference with this game though is that it's all for good fun, no steam market, no steam items, no selling or trading, none of that. It's just collecting ducks within the game, not steam item ducks to sell on the market.
So if you're looking for a fun cute background idle collectathon game, I'd recommend checking it out. It's $1.99 USD, with a few optional DLC duckies. They also have a bundle with the game and all DLC Here 🙂 enjoy!
