Well thing is, I wanna know what you guys think of comments, if you have a large number of them does that make you a spammer or a good member of the forum? does comments > entries mean that you are a good member. I do see people spamming to get their comments up, but why?, not like there is a comment contributor giveaways, does it bring you good rep or bad rep

Quality is always more important than quantity, obviously. But one could argue that 1000 useful comments by user X would be more valuable to the community than 500 just as useful comments by user Y.

Spamming is never a good idea, but there is no need to get incredibly perfectionist either, in my honest opinion. As long as your posts contribute to something or you at least attempted to contribute to something with them, it's a quality post to me.

It depends what you say, there are plenty of people who can post in any and every thread they see with meaningful and relevant information, not just for the sake of getting their comments up. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm stuck at work right now for 9 hours doing absolutely nothing, and this is one of the few sites not blocked so I've been frequenting here much much more than in the past, you guys are the only ones keeping me sane :P

Quality over Quantity

It's really pointless to put all of the variations of TY in every giveaway - it doesn't mean anything. I think that ''thank you'' buttom is a pretty good idea.

I always thank, but I try to do it in an orginal way... Beacuase 1000 times "thanks" is kinda stupid.

I always wonder why people keep thinking it's not relevant to thank because there are already so many of those messages. ?..?!? It's your personal signature, another one can't do that for you.

If you for some weird reason think that writing "thanks" is meaningless and next to nothing, why don't you figure out something better, who is stopping you? You got the brain capacity, it's lacking some elsewhere. If you haven't got time to say thanks, you shouldn't have time to enter either. The contributor has the time to make the giveaway and then taking care of that the winner actually receives their gift. "I just didn't have time to thank", sounds fair.

Forum is the place to discuss games and stuff, giveaway's comment section is mostly for thanking. Of course you should say if you have got something reasonable on your mind, but claiming all those messages of gratitudeness are blocking your sight and somehow preventing you from typing a longer comment is nonsense.

Not hostile by any means, but you need a valid point if you don't thank next time.
