Hi, I just notice that there is this guy, around this hour, sells almost all TF2 cards (9 cards) for 0.37 which is around 50 - 70 pcs a day. this is the 3rd day i noticed it. Did he really spend 9$ for each card drop? o_O

you could only have a card drop if you spent 9$ right? and that will only will give you 1 card drop.

The alt account, however, likely wasn't created to help the user get cards.

1) There's a 30 day wait period before the alt account could trade to his main, and the card program started less than 30 days ago.
2) He likely has the alt accounts to get item drops to sell, eventually paying for the Premium subscription, times the number of alts.

how cards does the premium subscription gets? right now there are 7 card type which have up to 5 page which consist of 10 items. so that alone, 5x10x7 = 350 cards. this is the 3rd day i notice it, so 1050 cards :) well ofcourse its just an estimate
edit. he got all 9 today so 450 per day multiplied by 3 =1350 cards o_O

Don't think so, i spend less than $1 but I previously played TF2 and I could get the first batch of cards for Premium TF2 players...

Well, yes and no. The requirement is not if you owned TF2 before the steam card update, it is if you PURCHASED the game before it went free to play. Basically, they made it so you can only get card drops if you have purchased something (either in game items or the game itself)

yep sorry.. but still he got so many cards. 9 card types multiplied by 5 pages multiplied by 10 cards per page multiplied by 3 days. that would be 1350 cards. o_O

This is how its done. A good friend of mine is in this business :P.

Many people already have ~50 steam accounts with tf2 with the purpose of idling 24/7 for items that they can turn into scrap and metal. There are software that allows 1 computer to simultaneously run multiple accounts. They can make each TF2 premium by asking a Russian to deposit steam wallet into each steam account. Russians can by pass the minimum $5 on steam wallet. So effectively each TF2 premium costs $1. Now when they idle, they get their items in addition to the 5 cards.

Uh, "Russian to deposit Steam wallet", one doesn't simply give away money :O

I wouldn't be surprised if some people were buying all the cards from noobs who either don't care about them or don't know their value or think they will get more drops. Multiple accounts are more likely though.

The 9$ you need to spend to get another drop..... does it have to be in-game or at the steam market?
