Really depends on how much you are into adventures/puzzles in general.

I wondered about starting from the first, but some series aren't best to start from the start. For example, Skyrim is the best TES game imo for newbies, because understanding everything takes a lot less understanding than the others.

I've been considering the myst series for a while, espicially ever since when I used to play Minecraft, I loved the Mystcraft mod. I'm wondering which game would be best for a newbie to the series. I'm asking cause I was going through a list of steam games I can afford, and saw Myst V on there.
EDIT: Also wondering IF the myst series is good at all. I'd assume it's good, for someone to like it enough to make an MC mod for it.
