Total War Dev: Holy shit, look at this textbook! It's like filled with all these awesome historical dates, man.
SEGA Rep: Fuck that shit. Remake Rome and get rid of any true modding support. Bitches love Rome.
Total War Dev: So we're going to circle around the same four time periods?
SEGA Rep: Yup.
Total War Dev: I will do your bidding, my liege.

The Creative Assembly announced that the game will have a bigger map than it's prequel, Rome: Total War, have said that in will "go more to the east", have many new game features and that it will have new camera views in-battle, allowing the player to see the battle almost from every angle. It's also known that the game is being developed using a new programming system, which will allow it to achieve graphical quality never seen before in the Total War series. A live action trailer was released on IGN, also on 2 July, which features different movie type scenes, all related in purpose, with the theme "How far will you go for Rome?". Also, Total War: Rome II is set to receive a teaser trailer at Rezzed: The PC and Indie Games Show on 6 July 2012. The game is set to be released in 2013
