So here we are: After 5 years here on Steamgifts and 1 year of using ESGST I decided to create my first train.
Our direction for all above Level 1 leads us straight into the Wanderland, a free casual adventure/HOG game, where lots of paid DLCs let us progress more easily and faster. The train is on track only 24 hours...

So here we go, come in and find out!

Is this game any good? I have seen it on steam but when i saw all the dlc's i backed away quite fast. Can you 100% it without the dlc's?

It is a game, you can play well without the DLCs. If you want to reach the last regions, a lot of and I mean, A LOT OF grinding is neccessary. The DLCs help to shorten that. So if you want all of the 81 achievements you need either time or a bit of money, but 100% should be possible without DLCs.

It is a typical mobile freemium system. You can play it, but your actions cost "energy", which either replenishes 0.00000000000001%/year, or you can buy more through microtransactions or the booster DLCs to refill and continue playing.
If you heard about how Dungeon Keeper Mobile plays, think like that, only as a hidden object game.

You did a good thing to back away. Its a pain in the ass. I am at 213 hours and got 89% of achievements with having 3 of the DLCs. If I wouldn't be waay to far into it to quit I would. The best part is when the game randomly decides to crash after you finish a HOS and while it doesn't not save whatever you got by finishing it but it still eats you energy/money.

I haven't played Wanderland in months. I stopped playing shortly after I reached level 55 and all portals became locked. It seems there are no more updates past that point.

I already won two of the DLCs. Once I have all of the DLCs I will play the game. I want to be able to avoid as much of the grinding as possible. And since I won those DLCs, I won't be skipping the game now either.:)

BUMP!

I don't play that game, so nothing for me here. But hey, congrats on your first train, and have a bump!
