Heyyyyyy,
lovely day out to discuss!
What are your thoughts on this topic? Mine was:

1) Maybe allow Origin Based Giveaways on steamgifts?

2) Your 300 points is used towards BOTH steam and origin based gifts.

3) Use of a filter or color coded game link to show the games DRM is for Steam (lets say Blue Link) or Origin (Orange Link).

Your thoughts? Should SteamGifts be more then just for Steam?

Stay beautiful, and have a great week!

No. Why encourage further bundle abuse?

But system would be the same. Bundle games count as bundle games and don't give any contributor value. If people want to give their bundle games they don't need to people who actually want them then why deny that option?

I'm referring to the splitting of keys and encouraging people to "double-dip" for what is essentially the same copy of a game.

Even BF sucks - i'll never buy another EA game again - unless i can get it dirtcheap and on steam..

i mean for fudge's sake, i know companies can make great money from DLC's and i respect that.. but LAUNCHING with DLC and allowing for DLC preorder? fudge off

Even on Gala and game miner, where you can giveaway origin keys, it's still only ever humble bundle keys. If people actually ever gave away something else it may be more useful. Otherwise, it shouldn't really matter on what service the key registers as long as it's properly labeled.

Can you even buy gifts directly through Origin? That kind of limits the options.

You can buy Origin keys to give away.

Yes, I am aware of that.

Nope. I think there have been desura keys giveaways, but that's due to the game given out being on greenlight which is understandable.

If this site starts supporting Origin I will hunt down everyone who's ever won one of my giveaways and extort the money back. "This is why we can't have nice things", I'll whisper, holding up a screenshot of the site.

SG discourages entering for games you already own, and since your Origin library can't be seen publicly, SG can not check which games you already own.

Only if it was its own site. I don't want to have to sort though a bunch of crap origin stuff to view the steam ones. In other words I don't even want to see the origin crap.

There is also the fact that there are more then enough confused people already on this site that would choose steam giveaway for an origin code.

I also don't know if origin allows access to the games database or peoples account info like Steam does so there might not be a away to track what games people have or how much the games currently are to provide point values.

ExacTLY,NO WAY,OP'S IDEEA = ...refrainin from saying. There are others who suggested like GMru's site's system of separating keys and gifts's CV Since keys were in bundles and gifts are from Steam Store ,now that's a good ideea, but SteamGifts is named SteamGifts so why would it attach Desura,Origin,Gamer'sGate etc others ?nope.

Better no Origin stuff here. EA has a very bad reputation and it might damage the reputation of this site in general if EA screws something up.

Yeah some of their choices like shuttin down games srvs LOTR Conquest etc & many many bad choices in many many things & domains, those suck..though i hear their support is epic (in a good way ) lolz xD but i did hear it competed with Bank of America for THe Worst COmpany of the Year 2013 xD

Yeah, bad choices are what EA is about. Perhaps good financial choices for them, but really bad for their customers >:(

And indeed, their support is very good. Had to use it 2 months ago and my problem was very well handled, and my brother did it last week for 1 DA:O DLC that didn't work on the x-box and he was given the GotY :p

Perfect client would be
Steams Library
Uplay Achivement system ( that you can buy stuff with your achivement points)
EA Support (Origins Support is amazing and fast as hell)

However we will never ever see that. Personally i have Origin due to Mass Effect 3 and the old Command and Conquer series.

I'm constantly sharing Big Buck Bunny and Sintel (at least when I can spare some bandwidth).
