Yeah, I was a a little confused myself about what you meant with "attention whore." I thought you meant these people who create seemlesly pointless threads. Anyways, the attention whores you are now speaking of (these comment hi-jackers) are just that, attention whores. They want to make sure people see they have commented, so they would seem like active people here. I don't understand the point of it either. It just annoys people when someone hi-jacks a top comment just for attention.

But sometimes,there's a first comment hijack for an important question,is that counts as "attention whoreness" for you as well?

oh right... the people i immediately skip past XD i tend not to read the comments if they ahve a large reply list to them as i assume someone is trying to hijack the comment and i will skip down further in the comments list and start reading from there

Yes, I used to do it like others, but since Xarabas's private message (October last year), I don't feel the want to do it anymore.

Good thing i'm not lazy then to purchase a game, write a meaningful description, set the starting and ending time and finally click on Create Your Giveaway. Honestly, i would prefer if people would avoid writing anything in my giveaway then if they feel that half a second of scrolling is going to take their precious time

People hijack first comment in giveaways they think are fake so the creator (might) see it and anyone entering later may take heed.

In my mind though, that is borderline calling out. Hijacking for thanks though is stupid attention whoring.
