Even though some of my wins have been very good games, my favourite would be between Yooka-Laylee and Homefront: The Revolution.

Yooka-Laylee is just like Banjo Kazooie from my childhood that I spent SOOO many hours on that those 2 games on the N64.

Homefront The Revolution was a surprise hit for me, so much different to the first game (Homefront), more like Far Cry or something. So that surprise I think made the game probably twice as good as it really is but still enjoyed it a lot.

Special mention to Ghostwire: Tokyo which like Homefront was a surprise hit, really enjoyed learning the Japanese culture and folklore in it.

Nier Automata because i wasn't expecting it to be as enjoyable as it turned out followed very closely by Disco Elysium. Both 100% completed before Disco added some additional achievements so i should at some stage replay it and get those last few cheevos.

Good question. The "best" game is probably Mad Max, but I think I enjoyed playing Not Tonight the most.

Woah, Not tonight is that good? I had hidden it previously, will keep an eye out for it now!
I also look forward to playing Mad Max since I won it on SG as well.... will look to play it in the coming weeks thanks to PlayOrPay selection!

Well I like playing it, but it is what it looks like. A simpler Papers Please with a (in my opinion) better soundtrack. It's not, like, secretly good. :D

I really enjoyed Not Tonight. It doesn't look like much but the gameplay is great and the story is actually pretty good

Yakuza Kiwami. Not just for being good on its own, but that win got me into Yakuza as a whole :)

There were some gems, but my pick is easy, it's Ys: The Oath in Felghana. Simply because this one game made me play all the other games in the seres (up to that point, haven't played the most recent ones yet), and made me into a huge Ys fan. It's now one of my absolute favorite video game franchises. It's kinda sad that the Ys games very rarely get GA's on this site. But that makes me even more glad I won the game one of the few times it was given away. Almost like it was fate.

I have won way too many I loved to make a proper list (and a ton of games I would not have tried without winning them like Gris) but my two favorites have to be
Spider-man: Miles Morales
Detroit Become Human

Probably have to give it to Voidigo. Was chasing that game for a while and so happy when I finally won it, and it did not disappoint.

Still going to mention the close second, Forager.

Played a lot of Mortal Kombat 11 and was a lot of fun. Same with Saints Row 4.

But the most profound and lasting experiences I think were GRIS and Cultist Simulator.

Prey! Love that game so much.
I won a lot of amazing games, mainly through groups.

The win I was happiest with at the time wasThe Walking Dead: A New Frontier. I was very much into TWD, the game only just released and I got very lucky winning a public GA for it ^^

I played Hell Let Loose during a free weekend, super cool game! But just too expensive... The game is super fun and cooperative from other shooters I've played and Hell Let Loose has some of the most talkative and fun playerbases ever. It was actually quite a scary experience the first time I played it, bombs going off and suppressing fire from seemingly all directions. It was hell, let loose. Simply said.

It's a ton of fun when you have good and communicative leadership; and when something unexpected happens.

One of my favorite gaming moments was in this game, where I was on a long range mission with my squad. Everybody else in the squad died in a field and pretty much right then, the lines also shifted and all of a sudden I was deep in enemy territory. I found a good spot in a hedgerow and started sniping enemy players as they were running by to the front lines. After a while, it was obvious some of their players had been tasked with finding me. Which they eventually did, but I racked up like 15 kills lying in that hedgerow before they managed it lol.

Doesn't sound too exciting, but it was super fun and tense in the moment lol.

"Doesn't sound too exciting" You wouldn't KNOW how exciting that sounds. I've been playing Insurgency: Sandstorm a lot and some other shooters and that feeling of badassery is insane. I also played Tannenberg and that feeling of being alone in an outpost with just 200 machine gun ammo and 20 enemies marching towards your position was the coolest thing ever. I wish I recorded that. I was holding the position, sniping heads and suddenly, I ran out of ammo. I heard screaming from the distance and I knew what to do, I went into position with the machine gun and waited. I saw the first 3 heads pop up, I just held the trigger and went BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM and didn't let go until every one of those scums was dead. It was one of the most glorious 30 seconds in my life. The fact I held my own during that offensive attack and I managed to defend the position and I secured it for us was such an amazing feeling. I would definitely play more Hell Let Loose if the game wasn't ridiculously expensive.

What I love about Hell Let Loose and other games like Deep Rock Galactic and Lethal Company is that, teamwork comes so naturally. Of course, it is possible to cooperate in Insurgency: Sandstorm and Tannenberg, but it just feels like chaos all the time. Teamwork doesn't feel rewarding in Insurgency: Sandstorm and Tannenberg because victory can be achieved almost without it. But in Hell Let Loose, the only way forward is teamwork, and that's amazing.

I think I also heard you being interested in DayZ, it's more of like a free for all PvP experience, but finding friendships and working together is one of the coolest things the game has to offer. Sharing supplies, aiding each other and having each other's backs is just unmatched in that game. In an apocalyptic wasteland with undead and living threats, teamwork is the strongest card and it is the one thing that players stop to think about before shooting you in the head.

The games with natural teamwork are definitely some of the best. I'd say Vermintide 1/2 fall into that category as well, most of the time.

That's a cool Tannenberg experience for sure.

Yeah. DayZ is one of those games where you kind of shape your own experience, whether that's being social or solo, from what I've seen. I'll be diving into that pretty soon. I do enjoy the streams most when it's a couple players exploring together.

DayZ is peculiar for sure. There really isn't an end goal, I guess it's to get the best possible gear and just survive, die and try again. It's a very cool almost narrative experience, and every adventure is always different. Every attempt is a story. The game is very fun with friends, but it is actually a lot more fun for some reason if you find a random ally. What makes it even more fun is that there is a chance of betrayal, and that has happened to me once.

Me and a guy who I met pretty late into my adventure, pleaded for me to not kill him, he was unarmed and had no food. I was threatening him with an empty gun. I told him that I had no intention of killing him, and even if I wanted to, I couldn't. We laughed about it and he proposed an alliance and I agreed. We traveled far into the woods, escaping from all kinds of terror. We found shelter in a small village with a well, but we found nothing of use--everything was already either broken or taken. We were eating some food near the well, and he said to me: "We won't last long with this, we need to find more food. There is only food for one of us.", I just said something along the lines of "I suppose, at least we have enough water to last us for a little while". He pulled out his gun, looked me in the eye and said "I am sorry.". We sat there for a couple of seconds, me not saying a word, and he pulled the trigger. I felt betrayed, but it was one of the most intense and emotional experiences I've had in gaming. You won't find that when playing Rust.
