Hi, I have heard that Deponia had a very good story, suddenly the countless giveaways this game now, I entered many giveaways hoping to win one.
I am hooked on this kind of games, with a well-crafted story, either futuristic or not, and I would like to know if any of you would advise me to games (available in French if possible, as I am French)

And I'm only on PC.

are you only looking for point-and-click adventures?
if not, the Witcher series has a very good storyline (allmost as good as in the books).

I don't have 200 hours of free-time for a AAA game. Not only point&click, but a game of 20 to 30 hours is good ^^

would still fit for the first 2 witcher games..
only witcher 3 is an AAA game.. but the first two are still very good games.

i also enjoyed Venetica and the playthrough took me about 21 hours (according to steam)

Planescape: Torment, but it isn't for everyone. Torment: Tides of Numenera is going to be it's "spiritual successor", I sure hope the writing can compare to that in the original.

The Witcher 3.
(et c'est un des rare jeux dont le doublage FR vaut vraiment 10/10, même la synchro labiale est parfaite en VF, elle est aussi bien que si tu jouais en VO)

The Wolf Among Us Great Story, great ambiance. I'm reading it's only in english, but hey ! if I was able to understand it, everyone is able too.

TellTale Games have a very large french community, a website of fans opens and they worked for Game of Thrones and Tales from Borderlands. They done The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us ^^

A very old game just to take a look in the past, Tales of Phantasia, SNES. One of the most interesting I've played so far.

Agarest: Generations of War, it's a tactical RPG but the game is almost 70% of characters and dialogue and 30% of gameplay. I may have exaggerated
Analogue: A Hate Story, it's like a visual novel where you'll only read documents and chat with the AI of the computer to understand what happened in an abandoned spaceship.
Both of them will require some patience cause they are really story/dialogue based.

Just sticking to Steam games:
If you like CRPGs at all, Baldur's Gate I/II and Icewind Dale have good, rich stories. 2/3 say they support French.

If you prefer to stick more to the adventure games, Syberia I/II are both pretty good, support French and have rich stories. There's also Machinarium (no French), the Broken Sword trilogy (the first one supports French), The Longest Journey + Dreamfall (no French), and the Myst series (only V supports French).

Seconding the Legacy of Kain series, the french version is awesome, perhaps the best french voice acting I've heard in a video game.

I should try to play it in French. The English voice acting is incredible. Well, I think everything about the series is incredible. =)

It has a good story, good characters, unexpected plot-twists, wonderful soundtrack, hard combat system that makes you feel that you are really just a guy whose only weapon is a pipe and sand, and I wish more people knew about this game. It has its flaws, of course, but in general it's awesome.

I highly recommend "Le baguette, il a une voiture". Timeless masterpiece but very rare. Might not even find it on Google. ;)
Seriously, talking about timeless masterpieces: http://scummvm.org/compatibility/
Get ScummVM and any game from that list. Some of them are freeware like Beneath a Steel Sky, so I'd start there. The games might have different names in french, e.g. Feeble Files is called Floyd in German but Google is your friend. ScummVM is also on Android btw.
Anyone who says 'Screw these games because they're old and ugly' is not a real story lover and should be struck by a lightning.
