Good idea to have an option to set your own time limits on redeeming prizes that you post?

there are millions of reasons why users can't do that... if u can, good 4 u, but u're not everyone

How hard is it to give winners a week to redeem their game, so they can take their time to manage real life stuff, like jobs, family, friends, social life ?

As the amount of giveaways you can make is limited by the total number of received giveaways (correct me if I'm wrong), very few people making giveaways will encounter the problem of not being able to make more giveaways, and even if they do initially, it's only for a rather limited time.

Depends, really. Not everybody even has interet access all the time. As an example, I used to work on renaissance fairs during weekends as a student job - that's 4 days straight without Internet :)

why should a feature that has very little benefit (see above) but potentially inconveniences a lot of people be implemented ?
