Hey guys, I'm just collecting some info for future giveaways that I do to see what you guys prefer. Would you rather:

  1. A white-list giveaway (assuming that there is some sort of challenge to get into the giveaway)
  2. An invite giveaway (simply posting the URL in a forum or like No. 1 adding some sort of challenge to find it)
  3. Just a regular old giveaway. These usually have far more entries then ones in the forums.

Really appreciate feedback :)

I try to, its just nice to be able to post a giveaway without people being a bit (whats the word....) "not very nice" in the comments :P I'll just see what people prefer and I'll go with that.

I always go for the regular giveaway with level one or higher as requirement. This way I KNOW they did something back to the community.

I usually follow by the same practice. It's a good tactic in my opinion.

Invite, pub GAs have really a low chance of winning and i think those who are active on the forum should be the only to enter

I like that idea. It means in order to gain access to the game you have to do a wee bit more that just press Join :)

There is a S.Gifts steam group ? :O no wonder it lowers the entries xD

Hahahhaha, it doesn't really lower it by much. In general the amount of entries will be generally the same as an open giveaway as people check their group giveaways often so those who wouldn't notice the gibs on the main site notice it in their group section.

An invite GA. It has more chance of winning for those who cares about the forum, and depending on the GA, you can adjust the level if you want to give more chances for those who contribute the most.

Adam, I don't understand what you're saying !. Reason -----> lack of English knowledge !

Combining all of them is unheard of, I do not think anyone can do it.

And if they did, it may cause an implosion.

But you can make a giveaway for your whitelist then give a game away to public and make another one for your personal thread as a private-only !

That`s a way that you are using as well !

Just have fun- it's your gibs and as you're the one giving us all a chance to win the least you can do is do it the way you want ;)
Also, people love trains and potatoes. An important thing to keep in mind xD

Wonder if SteamGifts will add the feature to "invite" people to a specific private giveaway. Sort of like whitelisting, but you don't have to add them to your whitelist and is a bit more secure than just invite links.

Whatever you decide, make it fun for yourself. If you have fun making the giveaways, people will have fun entering them.

Hmmm I'm interested in said challenge... or should I say puzzle?

Or just maybe asking people to tell you something (facts or stuff about they/you like about)
