The purpose of Steam Gifts is to hand out games. I do think that removing temporarily free games is against the websites original concept and objective. Instead, you should think of setting the game's value to 0P temporarily and so people can still share the game. Not everyone has a FaceBook account or access to these handouts.
This is my opinion on the matter, which I hope will be considered.

and to add, making a fb account and doing the whole process will take ppl less then 10 mins, i think it's worth doing that much for a game like Metro 2033

Just because YOU want to make a FaceBook account that doesn't mean others want to make one too, for any reason or whatsoever. That the give out is going on Facebook that is irrelevant; the game is being given out for free, people making Points they shouldn't have and yet they remove the game instead of making it 0P temporarily. (Or perhaps, the website's system can't do that)

If somebody wants to take advantage of a Facebook promotion then they need to create a Facebook account, if they don't want to do that then tough s***, they do without or find a key posted on a forum.

I like this idea better. Making exploited games as 0 points is better in terms of keeping up with the spirit of the site.

Thanks! I was wondering why no matter how may giveaways I joined I kept getting to 300 points O.o.

Thanks! For anyone who says it's not fair, you got the game for free along with thousands of other people, suck it up. Bring it back with 0 or a much lower % value too.

(ignore the download the client shit. it's steam redeemable)

With the rate of games being made and released, I do not see that as problem. Also, if one only gives for the sake of contribution value, I doubt that person is likely to create that many giveaways anyway.

Ugh that homepage when after the guy posted about the game. Just red everywhere.

We removed Metro 2033 from the giveaway list, since it's freely available on Facebook at the moment. When they run out of keys, we'll look into bringing it back.
