You mean you cannot understand the deep psychology behind buying a single texture file for hundreds or thousands of dollars? Texture files that before Global Offensive were otherwise completely free additional content?
(To be fair, the CS player base was always a bit… interesting, even by hardcore video gamer standards. But back in the day they were more or less the sane ones next to Quake 3 worshippers. Yeah. There was a time when CS players were the "sane" ones.)

You can get those knives by opening a case with a key that costs 2,5$.
Chance to get a knife is 1%. It is very likely you get something that costs just few cents, it's hard to break even (get an item > 2,5$)
And chances to get the exact same expensive combination is even less than 1%, so it's not really worth trying. Case opening is a losing game, you don't earn money off that.

I think I have everything I wanted... its not that hard to craft something rare either.
Now the thing I would like to have is a better skill in Photoshop soo I could make my profile better.
