In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.
Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.
Haven't played yet, but I'm super excited to! Heard it's very ... emotional. So I will have to play this on a game on a day where I have 1000 extra tissue boxes to spare.

The scene where the light killed the little owls, or when she sacrificed herself to save her last children - and the forest as well.... I'm really thankful for the game that didn't went the shallow "dark bad, light good" way. They are just different aspects.

Some people gets their first win after thousands of entries, be patient (or lucky enough), and u will be rewarded. The higher your CV Level, the bigger chance u have by entering giveaways with a higher level requirement, as those giveaways aren't accessible to anyone below that level.
In example, a giveaway without level requirement could get like 1000 entries. A giveaway with a level requirement of 5 would get 100-200 entries, depending on length of the giveaway :)

It isn't maybe necessary better, but it sure is different. Those questions are for gathering specific information about the current situation of the site, not for creating topics without any reason beside "I like making theads, instead of reading the FAQ".

Try and be patient with the "rude" replies you see here. It's just that every new member of the site has the exact same questions, have opened these same exact threads and got the same exact answers, which were already answered in the FAQ to begin with.
So old members tend to get a bit cranky about the matter.
The FAQ is the best place to start because it will answer most of your questions, but if you feel like asking, just do it: it already shows good will.
