Hello!
Just now I encountered a problem which I have seen before but have never been able to neutralize. After receiving a gift on steam for trading purposes, after accepting it I am only given one option- adding the game to my library as suppose also including the option to add it to my steam inventory. Is there any way apart from messaging the gifter to solve this problem?

Also here's one small giveaway: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/6rcsK/runestone-keeper

If you hit cancel doesn't it add it to your inventory?
It looks like you already hit "accept gift and add to library", since that is the first screen which pops, and your screenshot is the second.

I think you are right, Avantyr. You can also message the person who sent you the gift for help.

Unfortuantely for me it is not the case, it can not be added because it has VAC system.
Thanks for your help attempts though.

That's usually not the case with fresh gifts though, based on the comments left by other people I guess it has something to do with the fact that it has VAC system.

Seems like you already helped as that's most likely the reason why I am not able to add it to my gift inventory, oh well it's a Christmas surprise, not a pleasant one though.

VAC-protected games can't be added into your inventory.

That's happened to me before in some trade, but I don't know why. The trader informed me beforehand that I'd have to add it to my own library, and couldn't store it in my inventory. No clue why, but I wasn't given the option to put it in my inventory, like they said.

Maybe it falls in the 30-day trade restriction somehow, and you can only put those type of games in your library if you receive them in trades? Shrug shrug.

It already got explained in the thread, it is just because the game has VAC protection. I had no idea that Dying Light had it as I thought that it doesn't have that much of a multiplayer experience.
