When I want to gift a HumbleBundle key, it is much easier to use "Reveal your steam key" and just put that key into SteamGifts.
Is there a problem, if I do that? Will HumbleBundle get mad at me, if I don't use the "gift" button to gift?

Any experiences? Mad mails from HumbleBundle? Guesses?

Go ahead. I mean what's the worse that can happen? They'd hire ninjas to kill you? You'd die but dying to ninjas is pretty cool. You can proceed.

Maybe, but it is a lot safer for the giver and also covers them if there is a problem with the key (or the winner). It is also a helluva lot easier to check if the key is still good, since Humble and IG gift links both show an indication when somebody redeemed them.

I do only gift games I already have. So I should be on the safe side, right?
Or do I misunderstand your post?

But I think from now on, I'll paste the gift link. Thanks for the info!

I've once been gifted a revealed key from someone else's account, and nothing happened ¯_(ツ)_/¯

as veebles mention above, it is against their ToS because all the key brought from humble bundle should be use for personal use only
although they allowed gifting the products you brought (i guess as long as you don't sold them again especially for higher price) and that's why they have the "gift" option
but imo it should not be a problem to use the gift option or not when you are giving away the key because, well, you are giving away the key~

... it is much easier to use "Reveal your steam key" and just put that key into SteamGifts...

How is this much easier than using "Create your gift link" and just putting that link into SteamGifts?

Humble Bundle will not get mad at you if you reveal keys instead of revealing the gift link. how could they?

I always reveal my keys and put them in a seperate file (for trading away or gifting), even when I sometimes buy the same bundle more than once. there was never an issue and there never will be.

I've been regularly gifting revealed keys instead of gift links (I have this inexplicable fear that I screw something up when giving away gift links) and so far, nothing bad has happened. No complaints from my winners, either :)

Thanks guys, it seems you should just use the gift link to be on the safe side. I'll close the thread now.
