Don't understand why SR3 would be considered a "bundle key" when you have to spend $5 and up to get it. It's really no different than a normal 75% Off sale.

PS. This has no effect on me, because I redeemed my own, so I have no personal stake in the decision, I just don't agree with it.

Killing Floor was also in a bundle, and was also a key.

And its not on the list.

You could also argue with that on all games because almost all were alredy on sale at some time. The game is stll cheaper than on sale and another reason is that Humble Bundle doesn't want that people give keys away.

Every other "beat the average" bundle game has been added to the list, why should this one be different?

Nope.

Killing Floor - Be Mine 2. Not on the list.

I think that was intentionally not included as it was more expensive than when it was 75% off on sale.

Awesomenauts Mean and Green DLC from Greenlight Bundle 2.
Delve Deeper from 5for$5.
Beat Hazard Complete despite Beat Hazard and all DLC was in BM2.

There are lots of "oversights" which have been pointed out before, but never addressed.

I think the bundle calculation system is somewhat broken.
while I disagree SR3 to be worth 40, but At least they should worth 3-5bucks contri value.
I am not quite sure, but will the person who give away 10 copies of SR3 get more than $30 contri value or just 30? Since he bought 10 copies of SR3 is going to cost him >30.

Max contributor status you can get by giving away bundle games is $30, no matter how many copies you give

If Saints Row The Third is added, so should the rest of the games as well. Unless of course you want to revise the list for every Humble Bundle with the exception of Humble Bundle for Android 4 as the BTA game (they have added a single bonus game as well) has always been the only one with a separate key.

I brought this issue up when they first created the list, but clearly it was overlooked.

I agree with you here. I do suspect that all those games included in the bundle are not being given away in high amounts for a mere coincidence.

That doesn't change the fact that you could still give Metro 2033 as a gift and receive for full value, yet any other game such as VVVVVV would be a "bundle contribution" even if you gave it away as a gift. Both of them were in a Humble Bundle as a single key with other games, so what's the difference?

That is the issue.

On an unrelated note, Dawn of Fantasy from the Groupees BM6 will be receiving a Steam key within the next week, so that should be added as well.

Almost every Humble Bundle provides a single key, and the games are listed as bundle games. See for example: Humble Indie Bundle V (Psychonauts, Limbo...). How to see whether is a key from a bundle or not? Not everyone writes a description and rarely I think you can get a report by the winner.

This, and also, Peroxide brings up a good point- this is a matter of consistency.

Not only should the other games in this bundle be added to that list, Company of Heroes Complete Pack shold be as well, considering that other collections like Frozenbyte Collection and Introversion Complete Pack are there.

They're hoping that despite the fact the winner is getting added bonus by receiving more games than they intended, that they'll come forward and report the person for doing so.

It really comes down to whether the winner cares about the site or whether they're just here for free games. There is no actual way to verify which is why I thought they simply added all the games to the bundle list, but clearly that has changed.

Yeah, I think the HIB "single key for all games" needs to be revisited. There are awesome games that people still want but no one will give away because they're bundle games. If people are found making giveaways under these individual games for bundles, report and suspends. Maybe put a big warning when creating giveaways for these games. Or ** in the game list.

You can currently get Metro, Darksiders, Red Faction, CoH, etc for $1 and they're not on the bundle list.

Yet you can no longer get Limbo, Pyschonauts, Amnesia, etc but they are on the bundle list.

Why just SR3 added and not the whole bundle?

Alternate solution: Buy bundle, trade single bundle key for single game key from the amazon sale, list as single game, break no rules, get all the points. Everyone wins.

I'm a bit confused. The linked FAQ article doesn't say you'll get a "region-free" key; it says you'll get a key for the "low-violence Germany version". And it doesn't say what kind of key is in the bundle now (only that there was that problem for the early keys).

Does "region-free" mean "region-free, but if you activate it from the Germany region, you just get the cut version"?

Sorry Kaitlyn, but I'm not going to let this one slip away.

Address the issues or delete the thread to hide the problem.

It takes two seconds to post an acknowledgement of the issue and let us know she's actually doing something.

Unless of course she went straight to her support channel, answered question and logged off without looking at the forum.

This thread exists to alert users to policy decisions regarding SR3 that were only just made because of the urgency of the situation. It's not intended as a venue for debating further details of bundle policy. If you have suggestions, the appropriate venue is a support ticket. If you'd like to debate bundle policy with other users, you could always make your own topic for that purpose (not that we mind the policy announcement getting bumped). We can certainly review things and discuss changes, but it's by no means an urgent matter, and this isn't really the place for it.

Thanks.

I understand this isn't the correct way to go about things, but due to the fact that Kaitlyn replied to my initial concern, I assumed that she'd be willing to continue the discussion here as well.

She might be, but we stay busy, so she might not get back to this thread for a while, or never. Hard to say. We're not ignoring you, we just have a lot on our plates.

Ohhh, is THAT what happened? That's so weird, that the same game would be activated everywhere, but only after a specified time. >_<
I knew there had to be a reason my giveaway was deleted a few days ago! XD I did end up giving the game to a friend of mine, so it at least went to someone. =)

Well, good to see the update on the situation. And a big shout-out thanks to wbarton for informing me about it himself earlier. ^_^
