Deleting GA question

So I accidentally screwed the date up on a giveaway, it starts a week from now but I wanted it to start now. Do you still lose a giveaway slot when deleting a giveaway that hasn't started?

i dont get why you would lose a slot, when someone deletes a GA, it should clear a slot cuz it took a slot to create it...

is it something cg messed up on and doesnt know how to fix or something?

No, it's done on purpose. It avoids people creating troll giveaways and deleting them at the last minute. I've seen people do that to get access to closed group giveaways.
