Is Fallout 3 good? :)

It's good game, but i like New Vegas more.

I always wonder why people ask such OBVIOUS questions. One look at the metascore and you could have saved the time creating this thread.

PS: What I always wanted to know, can you guys recommend driving a car while the doors are open? Just wondering srsly....

At first from the trailers and video's I didn't think I'd like it. I started to dislike it, it did not look like a Fallout game. Then it came out and the reviews were good and my brother bought it first. So I tired his copy and later I bought the GOTY edition. Not only was it Fallout, it was the best Fallout I had played.

Yes it is very good. I prefer it over Fallout New Vegas. But that was more because of the setting. Both are awesome!

It's pretty good. Bare in mind its only for Windows Vista. It doesn't work on Win 7 / 8.

It's alright if you like Bethesda type of games - big worlds with lots of exploration... and not much beyond that. If you're getting one game only and you're not considering the older titles, I'd suggest you try New Vegas - it's almost universally a better game.

Everyone keeps saying that New Vegas is better and this is kind of true, because it's just overall more advanced and closer to original Fallout. Despite that, I actually liked Fallout 3 more for the world (Megaton, The Mall, metro tunnels) while I don't remember most of the NV locations. And, of course, THREE DOG OWOOO!

Anyway, strongly recommend both of them.

It was rather meh. I really don't like the perks in Fallout 3.

BUY IT! One of my favorites, is like Oblivion with Fire Guns.
Fallout 1 and 2 were awesome, Tactis and BoS mmm ... (only for fanatics like me)
Fallout New Vegas is great too but if your new to the saga then start from Fallout 3 and then move to New Vegas.
(TIP: Create your char with goog Charisma ;) )

It's the only Fallout game that gave me the feeling of the Wasteland. Fallout 1 and 2 are all about fast travel and NV is way too overcrowded.

If you like RPG games is a must play.

Mods! If you don't like something with the game (ex.: animations, faces, textures, storyline etc) there are tons of mods you can use to "fix" the game

In "Fallout: New Vegas" the world is much more alive, frankly speaking =)

But F3 is pretty nice too. It's not a bad start if you're looking to get into Fallout universe =)

Yeah, not as good as New Vegas but it is a good game, play 3 before NV though, many friends did the opposite and could not really ebjoy 3 as much after NV due to NV improvements, although some mods can make F3 pretty damn nice.

if you search grapchis and fast pace fps/rpg no if you want something like searching,exploring,leveling with fps style game as borderlands series,dont care so much for graphics and over all these you have patience[because the story go slow some times and you would have enough crashes in game] then yes also is not so pc hungry with a low-mid end computer you are very well

EDIT:also dont be grossed from killing big cockroaches OHHHHHHH YESSSSS THEY ARE VERY BIG AND GROSS is the only reason i never played 3 more than introduction i played New Vegas

Fallout 3 is a good game. Fallout 3 with mods is an incredible game.

It's only good on Xbox 360. The PC port has to be patched like crazy and crashes frequently, my PS3 copy freezes if I move too far left or right, but the Xbox 360 version seems the most stable. Go for the Game of the Year Edition.

Fallout 3 is just ok. New Vegas is better in every aspect. 3 is more like dumb fun with broken mechanics.
