Otherwise it could be you in trouble for not having the game in your library when it is marked received. C'est la vie

Just mark not received. He should be in trouble for not specifying it was region locked (you aren't even allowed to giveaway keys that are locked to only one particular region).

so what if they are volunteers? i volunteer 30-40h a week in a non-profit for therapeutic horseback riding for retarded and invalid people, mostly children, we still have to do a professional job even thou our funds are almost non existant and we barely manage to buy food for our horses...my point being, just because you volunteer does not make you imune to critique and nor it should...

It's a touchy subject, especially over the internet where intent and tone can't be easily transmitted, but since the term is "mental retardation", retarded in this sense can be allowed.

Maybe you can work 40 hours/week then volunteer for the same amount of time but not everyone has that kind of free time. The fact that the 6 mods are flooded with hundreds of support requests doesn't mean they don't do a professional job. They will get to yours when they get there, period.

You received a region-locked game which is against the rules of this site. All that is required for you to do is to click on "Not received" after a week. How hard can that be?
If you want to go the extra mile and report the gifter for breaking the rule, there's no problem with that. However, why would you need for support to wade through over 800 tickets within a week so YOU can get an answer. Do you think you're more important than everyone else who made tickets before you?

Yeah, and I do the same thing for my disabled mother (and put more time into it than you do) plus try to help out in support, plus talk to people in the forums to help out there, plus help monitor the chat (something that requires real-time viewing to be effective at). This is a volunteer job on top of our real lives. When we do get free time, sometimes we actually want that time to ourselves, to watch a film or to game, not to fight potential site downtime to answer ticket after ticket, a not inconsiderable amount of which are pointless ("why is my CV not above $30" "why haven't I won" "can you generate me a key for a game" "who cares what rules I broke, you just have it in for me"). No, being a volunteer does not make us immune to critique, but before you should critique, you should also understand what exactly it is you are critiquing. We aren't OAPs sitting around bored in our retirement homes, we're all fairly young people, trying to fit this site into our lives whenever we feel we can. If we spent all of our time on here, we'd all burn out very, very quickly and in the end nothing would be done.

I very much respect all the work you do, but I have one point of critique: Why keep only so little mods? I'm quite sure there a lot of people willing to work with you on the mod-tasks. That would take some burden of your shoulders and get the tickets done quicker. I'm also quite sure this has been suggested several times, if you can't reply quickly then nvm me;)

There's a number we want to add (especially so we can better cover multiple languages rather than relying on Google Translate), but cg doesn't want to add any new ones until the system is better (part of SG2).

You're not being ignored, we just haven't gotten to you yet. There are 800 tickets in queue. Currently, the number is slightly rising each day. There are 6 support members, but not all are active every day. You should mark the giveaway as "not received" in the meantime.
"But bobo, why don't you just answer it right now!?"
1) I'm currently on break at work, on my mobile.
2) If we made someone's ticket a priority just because they made a forum post about it, guess what the forum would look like? Same reason we don't respond to chat/friend requests for support.

That's all that you need. :) We only suspend people who've marked as recieved without activating. If they've marked as not recieved, we'll pass them by unless we get a ticket from either the gifter or the winner, in which case, we do digging before we act.
